SEMA 2010: Mummbles Hyundai Equus

Hyundai is heavily showing off their new large luxury sedan, the Equus, at this year's SEMA. No doubt it's a startling thing to see how Hyundai rose from building small econo-boxes to something of this caliber. Just as the Equus hits showrooms, Hyundai has teamed with Mummbles Marketing to customize their new flagship to prove they're just as capable in the luxury VIP department as their German and Japanese competitors are.

Other mechanical add-ons include a Air Lift digital air suspension with extended air springs and struts, Wilwood brakes, and 22-inch Work Equip wheels with Falken FK452 ultra-low profile tires. The exterior, finished in a deep burgundy, sports a five-piece aero body kit from 717 Motoring. Looking inside, the interior has custom audio and video gear supplied by Infinity, Mobile Spec, and Pyle. Going even further in the technology department, there are two iPads to be found, where one of them controls adjustable functions like ride height, luxury curtains, stereo, and windows.

With SEMA normally being popular ground with smaller and faster cars, Hyundai is again breaking the rules by showcasing a large and super luxurious sedan - with performance credentials. Also called the "Elegant Equus," it features a 450 hp V8 that has a Legacy Innovations/S-Max turbo kit and Magnaflow dual-exhaust system.
