Kia Super Bowl Ads

GM might have plunked down the most cash of any manufacturer for Super Bowl advertising, but as many as eight other manufacturers will also be competing with beer and nachos for your attention during ad breaks. Among them will be Kia, who is rolling out the television part of their new "One Epic Ride" advertising campaign. The campaign will be everywhere you look in the near future. It focuses on the all-new Optima and will be time-travel themed.

The images we've seen so far remind us a bit of those hilariously quaint ads from the 50s and 60s, which tried to depict a Jetsons-like future as being only 20 years away. Although for the kind of money that Kia is paying for these ads, you can bet they'll be better than that. The new Optima has good screen presence too and it shows how far Kia really has come in recent years. Kia hopes the campaign will kick off a 2011 that's even better than 2010, their best year ever.
