The grandaddy of them all
Duncan Gibson Oct 02, 2011
Yeah, the gto judge is so cool...
Nathan Curtis Oct 02, 2011
@Dennis yes you are correct. The GTO is considered, by most, to be the original muscle car. I prefer the 69 over any other year model :)
Rod Dobson Oct 01, 2011
Vincent Vegas gto runs rings around bandits tranny !!
Dennis Rech Oct 01, 2011
The GTO is known for being the first real muscle car. It was the first to take a small framed car and insert a large engine. There are those that argue the point but most muscle car experts, regardless of make preference, agree.
Aj TheDark Artist Oct 01, 2011
@Vince- he said one of the most famous pontiac's. And besides, the gto is better anyway. A 77 Trans Am vs. a GTO; GTO please.
Vince DeMasi Oct 01, 2011
Obviously it's about the gto it's the fact that the writer said the gto is the most famous Pontiac i feel like more people know the trans am since trans ams have been in movies and a tv show
Anthony Noon Oct 01, 2011
66-67 best looking goats IMO
Peter Bruschi Oct 01, 2011
k but this is about the gto... not a trans am... both cool cars tho
Vince DeMasi Oct 01, 2011
What about the smokey and the bandit trans am that's pretty famous also
Description: Normally, that car came with a standard 5.3-liter V8. DeLorean came up with the GTO name, taking it directly from the Ferrari 250 GTO. And the rest is history. The owner of this 1967 GTO states that t...

Hey lay off Dex and his 98 Nissan sentry.
Cho Dan Oct 01, 2011
@Ken, I totally agree! @Diego, I googled it. The GTO was listed as the first muscle car of the muscle car era, but, the olds is considered the first muscle car.
Rod Dobson Oct 01, 2011
Joke of the day - DEXTER .. He makes me laugh !
Zimran Collier Oct 01, 2011
It's sad Pontiac went out of business.
Michael Gallagher Oct 01, 2011
Now there is a car. Beautiful, simply, and an icon. doesn't get much better than that
Diego Pasotti Oct 01, 2011
@Cho Dan The oldsmobile had the first high compression engine, while the GTO was what sparked the muscle car era.
Ken Madison Oct 01, 2011
Never... You can't have an economically successful country that puts out great stuff, cheaply, when 1 in 10 people (30 million) choose to live off welfare, and 20 million illegals suck the rest of us dry. Kiss this good bye.
Spencer Borg Oct 01, 2011
America! When are these days coming back to us lol
Aj TheDark Artist Oct 01, 2011
@Dexter- Please go fall in a ditch somewhere. Just do us all that favor.
Kevin Rehbock Oct 01, 2011
This or a Chevelle...I can't decide!
Shane Carroll Oct 01, 2011
I'd take this over almost any car on sale today
Cho Dan Oct 01, 2011
First American muscle car, the 1949 Oldsmobile Rocket 88.
Diego Pasotti Oct 01, 2011
@Patrick K. Well, it is the first American muscle. You can google it or look it up in any book. People called it the tiger, bad goat or they would have their license plate customized to say, "Grrr".
Miguel Blanco Oct 01, 2011
I hate Rice cars. People who have them think their so cool. At least where I come from. I know a lot of people who have rice cars
Patrick Schalk Oct 01, 2011
I'd say the GTO and Chevelle set the bar pretty high when they first came out. Great lookin car.
Patrick Kennedy Oct 01, 2011
Idk if I'd call ot Americas first muscle, but definitely a great car
Peter Bruschi Oct 01, 2011
screw rice burners, theyre just cheap little toys... u want a real car, go with american muscle... nothin beats muscle cars, old or new... there is no replacement for displacement :)
Diego Pasotti Oct 01, 2011
America's first muscle car... Got to love good old American muscle.
Cho Dan Oct 01, 2011
I like rice but I'd take this any day over any rice. True American Muscle!
Shane Carroll Oct 01, 2011
@Dexter spoken like a true ricer fanboy
Vince DeMasi Oct 01, 2011
Looks like Dexter can't appreciate a beautiful piece of american muscle
Dexter Cordero Oct 01, 2011
Wow...why is that pile of junk still around? That thing has an appointment with the scrap compactor.
Joseph Flieder Oct 04, 2011
@Dexter… I bet the hello kitty smart is more of your speed.
Jack Howard Oct 02, 2011
It's all cool and stuff but it would suck as a daily driver
Biswajyoti Das Oct 02, 2011
i think the 69 "the judge" gto looks better
Rod Dobson Oct 01, 2011
Milk and juice come in 2 litres Dexter I'd rather float this boat anyday!!!
Taylor J. Blake Oct 01, 2011
Dexter- this thing got what you won't ever have. Muscle
Ernie Lemus Oct 01, 2011
My dad has a 68. He's the only owner and bought it when he was 17. 67 is my 2nd favorite year goats.
Miftah Rasheed Amir Oct 01, 2011
@Dexter. You just don't understand the whole concept of the word MUSCLE. It's a big part of American automobile history. You just don't understand.
Alex Newgard Oct 01, 2011
@dexter, if you hate the car so much, why are you still reading the article?
Joe Walchshauser Oct 01, 2011
Beautiful car one of Pontiac's best
Miftah Rasheed Amir Oct 01, 2011
CarBuzz. Finally. After the unfortunate chain of events involving my broken hard disk and an iPhone error deleting all of my apps, I finally got my iTunes back. I must say I'm happy. And, Uh... This car is splendid. I like it.
Peter Bruschi Oct 01, 2011
Dexter is just an ass with no good taste in cars, probably drives a riced up shitty fart can honda civic, with gay custom rims, peeling vinyls, and a hulking god awful spoiler
Shane Carroll Oct 01, 2011
@Dexter so do SUV's. Its not MADE to handle, quit whining
Vince DeMasi Oct 01, 2011
It's not tokyo drift with that thing it was all about drag racing back then handling like a boat wasn't that big of an issue since it was going in a straight line
Dexter Cordero Oct 01, 2011
Nice? Are u kidding me? Where's your sense of good taste? These things handled like boats.
Rod Dobson Oct 01, 2011
Grandma got style ! Thanks for the tease, nice muscle car
Patrick Schalk Oct 01, 2011
I like the 60s Goat better than the 70s too.
Anthony Noon Oct 01, 2011
I like this year 10x better then the 70 judge.
Duncan Gibson Oct 02, 2011
Looks like you would have to turn the wheel with tweezers
Kevin Rehbock Oct 01, 2011

Lee Oleinick Oct 01, 2011
