Description: Our tireless spy photographers have captured the BMW 4-Series coupe driving around town. This is the first time the 4-Series coupe (known in-house as the F32) has been filmed and though it was fully-c...Add Comments7
Kenneth WilliamsNov 15, 2011 Clear answer... The F is the newer BMW's like the E was the older bimmers like he said But the numbers signify the body/class. (1,3,5,6,7. Ect)
Micah LauNov 15, 2011 With this naming strategy, I wonder if BMW is making way for an 8 series coupe again, to rival MB's CL Coupe? IMHO, there should never be a 2-door coupe built on the S Class (or similar sized) platform - it is far too big.
Luke PurdyNov 15, 2011 Argh you are all wrong. They call it the "F** because it's their new generation. The 3 series coupe that is currently on the market is known as the E96. And no it's not a completely new car, BMW have taken auidi's idea of making the a4 coupe the A5
Bryan ThomsenNov 15, 2011 Because BMW enthusiast call them by the E/F names and not 3/5/6/7 names.
Payne Hodges WilsonNov 15, 2011 It's not the same 3 series rebadged its an entirely new car that fits between the 3 and 5 series models a lot like the 6 series
Erik OlsenNov 15, 2011 Isnt that how BMW always does it, now it just gets a new number series (of which I do not agree).
Btw, why does every single article (especially on this site!) refer to every and any BMW as "known in house as Fxx"?
Ryan Delano ThomasNov 15, 2011 It's ridiculous, they slap a higher number on it and demand a premium price for two less doors, if the price is over 4k over the sedan id go for an a5 instead.
Description: Its design will also be tweaked, as it is a model geared more towards youth than the established family-man. Both the 3-Series and 4-Series models will utilize turbocharged 4- and 6-cylinder engines. ...Add Comments5
Kenneth WilliamsNov 15, 2011 I mean I guess it makes sense instead of having a million variations of the different series. Like 325i,is,ic,ix ect. Maybe they're trying to make it easier for people that don't really kno
Kenneth WilliamsNov 15, 2011 I'm a BMW fan 100% but all these extra designations are getting annoying.
Shane CarrollNov 15, 2011 Reminds me of how they did the 5 series GT. What's the point?
Bryan ThomsenNov 15, 2011 Based off what the article just said, focused towards the youth and not the family man, why would the youth have more cash for a more expensive car? Exactly....
Domi BsaibesNov 15, 2011 If i had to choose between a 3 series and a 4 i'd find no reason at all to buy a 4 series, it don't think this is a smart step to make...
