Report: Subaru XV Branded the XV Crosstrek in the U.S.

The 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek will make its way to the U.S. sometime next year.

The 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show gave us plenty of eye-candy and new models to look at, one of which was the Subaru XV. Motor Authority has just confirmed that the Japanese crossover will make its way to the U.S. and go by the guise of the 2013 XV Crosstrek. The change was meant to differentiate the new model from its Impreza cousin, and it should make its way into dealerships as a 2013 model.

Many of the specs on the U.S. version will come over from its European counterpart, however it will definitely get a new set of more powerful engines and should hop across the Pacific pond with a Lineartronic CVT. The 2013 Subaru XCV Crosstrek will be making its way into the U.S. market sometime in 2012.
