Since it debuted at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, the Perana Z-One has created a loyal following for those who love American power combined with Italian bodywork. Designed by Zagato, the Perana Z-One is a custom-built and limited-production sports car that takes it power from Corvette. It's available with either 436-hp LS3 or the 505 hp LS7 from the track happy Z06 model.
Both engines are mated to a six-speed manual with a limited slip differential. At the recently held Barrett Jackson auction, a Z-One was displayed in order to attract potential buyers. Perana displayed a unique range of 25 available colors, all inspired by American muscle cars. In other words, Perana was anxious to show how easily customizable the car is. Inside and you'll find plenty of leather, Alcantara, and a standard infotainment unit with navigation. All told, it weighs in at 2,800 lbs and will sell for somewhere under $100,000.
In Europe, the price is said to be about €79,000. Interested? Act quickly because only 99 will be built this year.
