Description: Chrysler took the opportunity at the opening of the 2011 New York Auto Show to announce that the company's 2012 300S model will be the first of its products to carry a new eight-speed ZK transmis...Add Comments9
Chris TrotterApr 25, 2011 They need to give it some kind of performance increase since it is the "S" trim.Whether is be a more aggressive exhaust or stickier brakes. More sporty exterior cues would be welcomes such as a blacked out grille.
Patrick SchalkApr 24, 2011 Yeah I guess but they could've at least put it in the Charger and Durango. Those are the two "comeback" vehicles. Haha I know it's an "on road" SUV and nothing like a Jeep but I'd still buy a new one with a Hemi and AWD. They are fantastic SUVs
Drew Wa KleywegApr 24, 2011 i think part of it is chrysler/dodge doesnt have enough money to put the 8speed into everything yet. otherwise itd be in the xharger and durango
Dennis RechApr 24, 2011 I think the 8 speed isn't strong enough to handle the torque of the v8's yet. Give it a year or so and they'll have it.
Patrick SchalkApr 24, 2011 I still don't get why Chrysler didn't release all of their new models with the new 8 speed tranny. Because I'd honestly buy a new Durango right now but that 5 speed they still have is a joke
Ryan HenrichApr 24, 2011 True but the SRT8 is still stuck with the awful five speed...with the 8 it'd be even faster and 'more' economical - it needs to go in the SRT8, maybe next model year?
Kabir SuriApr 24, 2011 The fuel efficiency wouldn't be that great. If you want a V8, then there's the SRT8 :)
Andy RogersApr 25, 2011 Yeah the one about the 200 being from Detroit. Although if they were in REAL Detroit the commercial never would've made it because it's a dump....considering they survived while shooting it
Bilal SaeedApr 25, 2011 Isn't Eminem in a Chrysler commercial?
Zamiyaad KausmallyApr 25, 2011 There's my boy dre son I just got his new headphones
Charlie AustinApr 24, 2011 The promotions for this car cater to amateur drug dealers from Detroit..
Jerry TownsendApr 24, 2011 I miss the 300M Special. I thought that was a sexy car....
Ryan HenrichApr 24, 2011 @Omar me too, I'd take the E-Class over this any day but for the price this can't really be beat. Chrysler is finally getting back into the game, let's hope they can keep it up
Steve SchnellApr 24, 2011 I seen one yesterday in Alberta. Hahaha
Dimitry Mikhailovich MalikovApr 24, 2011 It looks amazing! Much better then the previous one (which is still pretty good).
Omar AlsakkafApr 24, 2011 To be honest rather have a 5 series or a e class instead but chrysler did a good job
Jonathan HarperApr 24, 2011 Reminds me of a bentley, which is a good thing
Austin AxelsenApr 24, 2011 I like how it is moving away from the boxy look and larger wheels it looks brilliant
Description: The transmissions will be purchased directly from ZF in Germany until Chrysler is done renovating its transmission facility in Komono, Indiana. In addition to the new transmission, the 300S is equippe...Add Comments5
Andy RogersApr 25, 2011 I could care less for expensive headphones. Give me some cheap ones that work decently and I'm good to go. Same thing with me and interiors, as long as it isn't Korean boring with Italian stuff-falls-off-ness then I'm good
Jerry TownsendApr 24, 2011 And this is not the top end model which most of the 'younger crowd' can't afford, but can afford and love $500 pair of Beats by Dre headphones and maybe an S as Kabir was hinting at. I personally wouldn't pay that much for headphones, but many do....
Jerry TownsendApr 24, 2011 That's the whole purpose of having different trims. If you don't like some of the key features of one then you have others to choose from; like the C or the SRT-8. They want to appeal to as many people as possible to increase sales.
Kabir SuriApr 24, 2011 Haha chill dude, it's just the sound system. I think they're trying to appeal to the younger crowds with it.
Tyler ChessApr 25, 2011 A freaking stitched dash very very nice!!
Ryan HenrichApr 24, 2011 Noo the blue is so sick - I love this new trend in ambient lighting, it's sick to be inside at night (the new jags do it the best at the moment)

V6 is good, but why not a V8?
Finally! The archaic 5-speed is gone!
