Comments - First Look: Aston-Martin Virage

Published: Jun 23, 2011
Description: It's difficult to know exactly how to feel about the Virage. Aston-Martin make no apologies for this being a very precisely engineered segment-filler. This doesn't automatically make it a ba...

Great cars like great paintings always have issues, but they are always great,, 250GTO, split window corvette, cobra ect. Have yet to meet a woman who didn't love the looks of these cars.
Zachary Maurer Sep 19, 2011
Dude eathor way u won't be able to get on so just apreciate the bueaty of the car
Aaron Manalil Jun 23, 2011
Continuing:edition car,it shows what Aston is capable of,thats why it goes 221 mph.there line up in full production is a sports line up.think about it!
Aaron Manalil Jun 23, 2011
You guys are treating it like a super car it's a sports car for gods sake that's the reason it only has 490horsepower Aston could have done alot better with the engine but that would be wandering from what astons were built for.the 1-77is a special
Ryan Kells Nov 06, 2011
This is certainly one of the best looking of the Astons, if not the prettiest.
Nathaniel Young Aug 19, 2011
@paolo No just you I think, astons are timeless
Paolo Prezioso Jul 02, 2011
Does anyone else thinking that the front of this car along with other astons is just completely disgusting?
Tim Sampson Jun 25, 2011
zagato... What the hell am i talkin about i meant the virage lol
Tim Sampson Jun 25, 2011
@Charlie trust me i didnt like posting that as im brirish and im a big aston fan but everything since the vanquish v12 has looked the same... DB9, v8 vantage, v12 vantage, DBS, now the zagato... All look pretty similar, beautiful but too similar....
Owen Fowler Jun 25, 2011
I think that they keep there same look because they know it looks good and they know people will buy it, like if they made something different they might screw up and shit, same with the 911 like it's sweet why should they change it
Alfredo Diaz Jun 24, 2011
I think they just changed little things like headlights and tail lights but not really any body work to set apart from the othe aston martins
Ian Richard Hendry Jun 24, 2011
Joel, rear headlights? I think most cars have their headlights at the front. It's more traditional.
Nick Smith Jun 23, 2011
Ha, Charlie your the one who can stop talking
Joel Hayes Jun 23, 2011
Imagine if they changed the rear headlights, that would be a huge change as all astons have identical rear headlights (apart from one 77)
Sam C-h Jun 23, 2011
Beautiful car, and probably very good, but a bit pointless. Aston are trying to fill every niche they can.
Taylor Holloway Jun 23, 2011
Looks pretty much like any other Aston ive seen. It still looks good but I'm ready for something new and different
Gavin McDaniel Jun 23, 2011
Definitely beautiful but they need to do something to make these more exotic.... The one-77 is great but there's only 77 they need to mass produce something similar.
Tyler James Davis Jun 23, 2011
@Kiel, For looks, power, style and comfort, idk...
Tim Sampson Jun 23, 2011
I agree with Tobias... Astons are turning into 911s... Lazy styling...
Shane Carroll Jun 23, 2011
Ok, not the first time I've seen it, but DAMN if it don't look good!
Chris Penza Jun 23, 2011
@Ian I agree I like this better
Bonnie Hansen Jun 23, 2011
They don't all look the same. They look similar, yes, but they are all uniquely different to one another. I love astons. They're all so beautiful.
Tobias Mersinger Jun 23, 2011
All Astons look beautiful, but they all look the same to me...
Tom Franquelli Jun 23, 2011
Honestly not as pretty...still awesome, but not quite. But they say it's a segment-filler, so for that, I mean Jesus, it's an Aston. Sorry guys I'ma litle drunk
Description: There are no surprises with the Virage, although, once again, this isn't necessarily a bad thing. It looks fantastic, and it would take someone very familiar with the brand to notice the differen...

Marshall Barnes Dec 05, 2011
no bc they are alligned vertically not horizontally, making this a V12 not a W12
Shane Carroll Jun 23, 2011
All Astons sound great, I think I like the V8 Vantage even better than the V12, soundwise anyway
Charlie Birch Jul 02, 2011
It's a nice car I would not have one
Scott M Allen Jun 24, 2011
i want strut bars like that on my car
Andy Arana Jun 23, 2011
The heart of the beast!
Description: Here it is tuned to produce 490 horsepower, a number which is exactly 20 more than what you'll find in the DB9 and 20 less than the number under the hood of the DBS. For a car that competes (pric...

Or... It's built for performance, not luxury.
Gavin McDaniel Jun 23, 2011
Haha yeah because you can buy a brand new Elise for $50,000... They start at 47,000
Michael Wilson Jun 23, 2011
your paying for a name. and a car you kove. it doesnt matter if it has everything else. lotus elise and exige doesnt have a lot of stuff new cars do. nut people buy them anyways
Shane Carroll Jun 23, 2011
Yeah, the power output's pretty shoddy, but you're not gonna buy this thing to go drag racing
Ryan Patrick Clauson Jun 23, 2011
That's ridiculous that you hay over 100k+ for a car that doesnt have things that 95% of all new sporty cars have
Aaron Manalil Jun 23, 2011
But in Ferrari interiors ther is barely a center console!
Cory Billig Jun 23, 2011
Like any other Aston interior...
Bonnie Hansen Jun 23, 2011
Love the orange stitching with the dark tone leather.
Description: You'll also have 85 percent of the 420lbs-ft of torque available at just 1,500rpm. Both the interior and the feel while driving are actually some of the better compromises you'll find betwee...

Wow 85 % at 1500 rpm!!?
Humza Husain Jun 27, 2011
Taillights remind me of the Jag XFs.
Cory Billig Jun 23, 2011
Favorite part of astons was always the rear
Michael Palazzo Jun 23, 2011
@ Tim it's the exact same car as the Rapide minus 2 doors.
Shane Carroll Jun 23, 2011
Not many cars look good in orange, but this thing pulls it off in spades. This would probably look good in that hideous puke-green from the 70's
Tim Sampson Jun 23, 2011
Tailend looks exactly same as DB9 apart from the clear taillights... I love this design but need 2 change it a bit...
Chris Penza Jun 23, 2011
Love the white taillight covers
Ryan Chamberlain Jun 23, 2011
I just like the styling. it never gets old imo
Description: While it doesn't feel claustrophobic, the back seat appears to be some kind of cruel joke and if both you and your passenger are on the larger size, you'll notice. The Virage will have a har...

Ya I'm 6'2 and not fat. But I'm damn sure I couldn't sit in that back!
Aaron Manalil Jun 23, 2011
Bryan this looks better than every other Aston exept the one-77. The db9is just not as good
Dale Fredriks Jun 23, 2011
It's like buying a rolls Ghost. You only get it because you can't afford a phantom.
Bryan Thomsen Jun 23, 2011
I will now think of whoever drives this as, I should have just got the DB9 haha
Tyler James Davis Jun 23, 2011
Its called a workout
Chris Penza Jun 23, 2011
Yea it's not claustrophobic because there's no Santa claus in the car
Shane Carroll Jun 23, 2011
All the better to hear that exhaust
Description: I want to like the Virage for what it is, rather than disliking it for what it's not, and if I owned one I'm sure I would come to in time, but right now it's a difficult impression to s...

As long as it has cup holders, I'll buy it 8)
Nico Morelli Jun 23, 2011
Guys guys guys, the point of the back seats are not for people. Manufacturers put them there as luggage space, and for insurance purposes, simply so that it's not classified as a 2 seat sports car.
Aaron Manalil Jun 23, 2011
Well atleast you get four bucket seats
Aaron Manalil Jun 23, 2011
Why would people bother taking four adults in a small sports car?
Tyler James Davis Jun 23, 2011
As long as the driver and passenger are small, the backseats woukd be good.
Chris Penza Jun 23, 2011
The back seat may be a cruel joke but im sure it's more comfortable than my mom's alero
