MTM Audi A1 Nardo Edition Reaches Speeds of 201 MPH

Several supercars have made their voyage to the Nardo Highspeed Test Track to compete for the fastest car. The MTM Audi A1 managed to keep pace quite well and surprised many.

Each year a select group of modified supercars come together at the Nardo Highspeed Test Track in Italy to find out who has the fastest supercar. The line-up this year consists of a MKB McLaren SLR, 9ff Porsche 911 GT3, G-Power BMW M3, SpeedArt Porsche Cayenne Turbo and the MTM Audi A1. It seems like the MTM Audi A1 is almost out of place here, but it actually fits in quite well.

Under the tuned hood of the A1, MTM has tweaked the engine to give a performance of 493hp and 442 lb-ft of torque. Power is generated to the front-wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The end result allows the A1 to accelerate from 0-62 mph in a very fast time of 4.5 seconds and can hit a top speed of 201 mph. MTM has also improved the aerodynamics of the Audi A1 with use of new wheel covers.
