2012 Hyundai Sonata Gets Facelift in South Korea

The 2012 Hyundai Sonata gets a facelift. No word yet as to when Hyundai plans on launching the updated Sonata in the international market.
Hyundai has quietly unveiled the 2012 Sonata facelift in South Korea. The updates includes a revamped front grille with less chrome on top and around the sides, reshaped mirror casings, new LED taillights and a choice of 18-inch multispoke alloy wheels. The interior has been slightly tweaked and features new trim options and higher quality materials. Under the hood, the Sonata will generate power from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 165hp that's mated to a manual or automatic transmission.

The 2.4-liter four-cylinder has been replaced with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 271hp. There is no word yet when Hyundai plans to release the freshened Sonata to the international market.
