Description: When we read about Ford or Mercedes-Benz, we usually don't picture these automakers to be designing any big rigs. Until now, with the introduction of the new 2012 Mercedes-Benz Actros for the Eur...Add Comments13
Mike HawkJul 10, 2011 The Brits call em "lories" or "lauries".
Anyway, big rigs always got a special place in my heart.
Peterbilt, baby!!!
Trevor BrownJul 09, 2011 Yeah Carbuzz should obviously mainly feature cars, but I agree they should occasionally have some articles on trucks and even motorcycles.
Matt RobbinsJul 09, 2011 Lol Ethan, it's cool man. It happens hahaha. I didn't mean it should only feature trucks, just that nothing else on here caught my attention today. It's a hard life to be a Dodge fan lol
Jack HufordJul 08, 2011 Thank you Matt! They need more truck news!
Matt RobbinsJul 08, 2011 I do Nick. The rest blow and hold no value to me what so ever.
Ben MossingJul 08, 2011 And Even Ford has made lorries for decades. The new Mercedes docent even look new. It looks like an '06 model with a body kit
Andy KleschickJul 08, 2011 I wish they'd bring these over here, or at least the ford, since it is technically an American car company. I tired of cars and trucks never coming our way.
Paul AffolterJul 08, 2011 I'm going to hold out for the AMG version.
Matt RobbinsJul 08, 2011 Slow day at CarBuzz when this is the most interesting article...
Shane CarrollJul 08, 2011 I know, mercedes trucks are nothing new.
Andy AranaJul 08, 2011 Mercedes have been building big rigs for a long time.
Anthony SurdoJul 08, 2011 No not a long long time ago. They have been building trucks for a while. They are not new to the big rig market at all
Czezar CsongorJul 08, 2011 Of course they are...long long time ago
Description: In addition, it has adapted a much "beefier" version of a Fiesta-like grille. It appears that the Cargo even drew some inspiration from the Transformers movies. The Actros, on the other hand...Add Comments10
Caleb LochridgeJul 11, 2011 Come on guys! Doesn't anyone know if this thing has stability control? I mean I've been all over the Internet, and y'all got me wondering now! Stupid OCD... Well, does it have stability control?
Mike HawkJul 10, 2011 There's stability control and then there's stability control.
The question you gotta ask is, does this have stability control, or does it have stability control?
Trevor BrownJul 09, 2011 My head is about to explode, I really need to knows if this has stability control.
Patrick SchalkJul 08, 2011 But does it have stability control? That's all I want to know.
Robby BradfordJul 08, 2011 WTF are you all talking about? It says it right there
Carter SullivanJul 08, 2011 It says stability control. Third line, last paragraph.
Jason PlanteJul 18, 2011 Thos is the uglyest cr i have ever seen in my entire life discrase to mercedes...
Weston PilleyJul 14, 2011 Why can't we get all these big rigs in America?!?!? They're sooooo much nicer than ours with they're huge, protruding front ends...
Patrick KennedyJul 10, 2011 The merc sign is bigger than his head!
Mike HawkJul 10, 2011 That's not optimus prime.
It's more like an ultra magnus, for you much older kids.
Trevor BrownJul 09, 2011 Haha Greg I bet it wouldn't even notice the deer. I was in a old International schoolbus once that hit an Infiniti and literally destroyed just about every part of it, and there was nothing but a small scratch on the bus's bumper.
Greg LewisJul 08, 2011 I want to see what it does too and then looks like, to a deer at 75mph!
Dennis RechJul 08, 2011 @Daniel. This is a nice truck but have a 2012 Volvo VNL780. You want a nice truck to run the roads in check this one out online. I run about 3500 to 4000 miles a week and it's comfortable, spacious and the Cummins has loads of power.
Daniel LevyJul 08, 2011 Thats a nice truck, just saying if i had to drive a behemoth I would pick a mercedes xP
Robby BradfordJul 08, 2011 This one hell of a high truck
Jonathan HollandJul 08, 2011 "introducing, the 13 liter W24 Big rig, the AMG S1300!" I can see it now, probably more gracefully advertised though xD
Emmanuel IrizarryJul 08, 2011 It look like it should be on The movie CARS
Morgan DameJul 08, 2011 I can't wait for the Amg version....I plan on taking the Amg version around the nurburgring
Luis LujanJul 09, 2011 All systems ready aboard the Mercedes-Benz Enterprise.
Emmitt Turns WrightJul 09, 2011 I would love to buy this so that I could throw my SLS AMG or SLR in a trailer behind it and cruise to track days...it's nice to dream :)
Matt DrumJul 08, 2011 I just might start hitchhiking
Andy KleschickJul 08, 2011 Well James, I bet this is the merc, so considering that, there would be better materials on the interior, making one think it is an tv.
Marcin WitkowskiJul 08, 2011 Wooden inserts, really? Still considering the amount of time spent in these beasts you want them to be as 'cosy' as they can get I think
Josh SuttonJul 08, 2011 Most I ever heard of was 14, but yeah, I'd much prefer an auto.
Ken MadisonJul 08, 2011 Big rigs can have something like 18 gears if I remember right..... I'd want an automatic too.
Robert LantzJul 11, 2011 Baris this probably cost as much as a small house maybe a medium sized house too
Kevin WatsonJul 09, 2011 Slap on the brakes, and watch the body smack the windshield. " I told you it's your turn to drive dammit!"
Drew J. KleywegJul 09, 2011 so thats why my mom never lets my sisters look at "roadkill"
Patrick SchalkJul 08, 2011 Haha no Andy. They just throw those out of the back when they are doin 80 down the highway
Andy RogersJul 08, 2011 That's actually where they hide the murdered prostitutes XD
Andy KleschickJul 08, 2011 Well, since it is only the front portion of the truck which is probably only like 250 cu.ft. I'm sure there wasn't alot of room to do that jonathan
Robby BradfordJul 08, 2011 @Jonathan it's a bunk bed so they can't
Jonathan HollandJul 08, 2011 They could have gone all out with the beds or something, the seats look more comfortable xD
Zach V. RomanoJul 15, 2011 This looks like a rig, not some luxury car for the rich to pull there stuff around, it's made to be a hardy truck like all Fords are. And yes those are the lights lol and yes trust me they are bright as hell.
Trevor BrownJul 09, 2011 Am I the only one who thinks this looks really good? It looks like a real truck should, not a luxury car like the Merc.
Luis LujanJul 09, 2011 A. Why show the sexy Merc first? Got everyone all riled up.
B. I bet this will still be running in 20 yrs. Which is why they haven't needed to redesign since the 80s.
C. That's what the Brazil people say when asked if they want one of these.
Patrick SchalkJul 09, 2011 Tom it looks like a Pug! Or a bulldog
Ján KubeckaJul 08, 2011 It's a truck and it's designed to get the job done, my point taken?
Jack HufordJul 08, 2011 Meh, it's a ford. What else is new.
Jonathan NewcastleJul 08, 2011 It's not supposed to be cute. It's obviously meant be a warehouse rig that handles trailers on site.
Renan BarretoJul 08, 2011 What do you expect from American truckers?
Andy RogersJul 08, 2011 You guys expect a good looking big rig? *laughs*
Tom FranquelliJul 08, 2011 It's...adorable, though. Like an ugly puppy or something. Lol. And, uh, where are the real lights? Because those look tiny.
Shane CarrollJul 08, 2011 I think they intentionally tried to make it ugly
The Brits call em "lories" or "lauries". Anyway, big rigs always got a special place in my heart. Peterbilt, baby!!!
