Spied: 2013 Jaguar XFR-S Mule Spotted in Germany

The first shots of the Jaguar XFR-S have been taken just outside of the Nurburgring in Germany.

This XFR-S mule was caught testing at Jaguar's facility by the Nurburgring. Even though we see plenty of XFRs running around the facility, this one was testing with the XKR-S convertible prototype and made a significantly louder noise than any of the standard XFRs. The mule is missing several features on the exterior that the XFR-S will carry, however it does sport the XKR-S' blacked-out wheels which could make their way to the XFR-S.

It features a slightly wider track than the standard model and its quick throttle response are dead giveaways that this isn't your average Jaguar. The XKR-S' 550hp engine is probably sitting underneath the new Jaguar's hood. Jaguar's global brand director Adrian Hallmark has confirmed that the British automaker is working hard to transplant XKR-S upgrades to the XFR-S. The XFR-S sedan will rival the BMW M5 and Mercedes-Benz E63.
