Skoda Unveils Citigo City Car

Skoda has brought out their version of the Volkswagen Up! city car.

eils Citigo City Car Sep, 28 2011 Skoda has released details of their new Citigo city car, a rebadged version of the Volkswagen Up!, but without the stupid name. As VW Group's line of cheaper cars, Skoda is a good home for a small vehicle with few aspirations beyond short trips around town. The car has two different engines offered, both 1.0-liter 3-cylinders. The base model produces 59 horsepower, while the more hardcore performance variant churns out a fire-breathing 74 horsepower.

Fast the Citigo is not, but it will return fuel economy figures of 62.8mpg or 60.1mph, depending on the engine. As with the Up!, the Citigo makes excellent use of space, and has a roomier interior than city cars typically offer. Skoda also offers a Nav system with a five-inch screen that also controls hads-free Bluetooth calling and infotainment. The system can be removed and used independent of the car as well.
