Mopar Comes to Detroit via the Dodge Charger Redline and Chrysler 200 S

Mopar arrives on the scene at Detroit with spruced up versions of the Dodge Charger and Chrysler 200 sedans.

It's no secret that the Chrysler 200 is not the most exciting car. Even after it was given a major refresh and a much-needed name change (good riddance Sebring), the 200 was still considered basic transportation. The Dodge Charger, on the other hand, is one of the brand's current gems; we love just about everything about. And when it comes to Mopar, they have the ability to make the most bland and best models even better.

The Super S is basically "Mopar's interpretation of the 200...with an extensive list of high-quality Mopar parts" that enhances the 200's performance and appearance. Stage I includes a large chin spoiler, satin chrome fog light trim and chrome grille surround along with mesh in the upper and lower grilles. There's also new side sills, "200" badges and 18-inch alloy wheels. Stage II adds a performance coil-over suspension that also lowers the center of gravity. There are also a cold-air intake and cat-back exhaust.

But the real treat here is what Mopar has done to the Charger. The Charger Redline is composed of three upgrade kits: Stage I includes an aerodynamic carbon fiber body kit featuring a chin spoiler, tri-coat paint, and a two-piece grille. There's also a three-piece Mopar carbon fiber rear spoiler that adds additional down force, and a vinyl roof graphic in matte black. Stage II adds Mopar bolt-on performance parts; specifically a front-tower cross-brace and front tower brace caps that provide increased structural stability for improved handling dynamics.
