Description: The crew at MotorCityProject has snapped some pics of the first-ever 200mph-plus at stock 2013 Shelby Mustang GT500. The muscle car seen here is the test mule used by the company for endurance testing...Add Comments4
Ghee ButtersnapsJan 19, 2012 I'd change the ending to Kevin's story to this: As it lay dying, the gt500 asked the her, "Why did you do this to me?" She answered, "Hey, you knew I was a woman!"
Kevin RehbockJan 19, 2012 Once upon a time, a woman was gathering firewood. She came across a GT500 stuck in the snow. She took it home, cleaned it, and waxed it until it was spotless. One day she spun it out and wrapped it around a tree. As she lay dying she asked, "Why did you do this to me?" The car answered, "Look, bitch, you knew I was a snake."
RAHPJan 19, 2012 I just can't wait to see how this GT500 does on the track both straight line and twisty.
Patrick SchalkJan 19, 2012 CarBuzz, why no ZL1 vs Boss 302 LS article? It's out there.
Description: In true track fashion, it sports a pair of Recaro bucket seats and a roll cage along with its carbon fiber one-piece driveshaft. The pictures were shot at the Ice Nine Group HQ in Detroit, as they wer...Add Comments9
Stephen KraneMar 30, 2012 There isn't a solid rear Axel in the new car just like the new boss
Tin NguyenJan 20, 2012 Agree with Pat. They had IRS in 03-04 cobra.
Devin BabynJan 19, 2012 I didn't mean they've never done it in any car I just meant the stang
Jared PalmerJan 19, 2012 Ford of Europe has been using IRS for 20+ years now. I love Ford but I would still want my Stang with a solid axle.
Devin BabynJan 19, 2012 It would be expensive cause they've never done it before so they'd need to completely develop it which takes a lot of money
Shane HeidJan 19, 2012 Can't be that expensive every other car maker has done it.
Kevin RehbockJan 19, 2012 Engineering an independent rear suspension to withstand all that torque would be expensive. The solid axle keeps the tires perpendicular to the road surface during acceleration meaning this will open a can of whoop-ass taking off.
Mikey JimenezJan 19, 2012 And still a solid rear axle!
Jayson LanksterJan 20, 2012 probably gonna get some crap but mustangs are so boring in my opinion. they all look the same just with a different badge and a new engine. every year same thing.
Trevin HowellJan 20, 2012 @brandon I only you would learn to read.
Rhonda Hearn WilsonJan 19, 2012 I think the camera angle, rear wing and funky rear fascia make it look that way. It is hard to tell from these pics.
Ryan FilkinsJan 19, 2012 Is it just me or does the rear area, like the trunk look way too long for a Mustang?
Rhonda Hearn WilsonJan 19, 2012 Between this and the new ZL1 I guess I'm going to need to buy that supercharger I've been looking at so I can keep up! Pretty sweet for a ford.
Alex NewgardJan 19, 2012 Love the car... But whats with the Sebring decal on the trunk lid?
Oscar AriasJan 19, 2012 I'd rather wait and get the new redesigned taillights
Chris PenzaJan 19, 2012 I like it, and I'm a camaro guy
Michael RileyJan 19, 2012 I'd buy it just to be the first to have one.
Pratik ParijaJan 19, 2012 1st glance I thought the side was dented. Lol
Kenneth WilliamsJan 20, 2012 I was about to say its off the ground. Come on now No self respecting.... person would have that much gap on any "sporty" vehicle
Jason FenechJan 20, 2012 You can't tell because the pic is so close, but the car is on a hoist there guys. The suspension is unloaded.
Patrick SchalkJan 20, 2012 For real. That's some 4x4 status right there.
Edward S NurwadiJan 21, 2012 Such a boring interior. Simply a mockery to be labelled as a national staple car
Kenneth WilliamsJan 20, 2012 Maybe that's an EKG machine for heading to 200mph. Lol
Cody AndreeJan 19, 2012 Point is don't bash chevy when your preferred manufacturer is the Same or worse. And likewise
Alex LeuJan 19, 2012 It is just a base model interior.,it doesn't even have leather seats or a navigation display
Matt PiccoloJan 19, 2012 @Andrew, the reason i say that is they all have cheap, plastic interiors with poor visibility... And also, on a personal note, I hate muscle car gauges... But that part is just me
Devin MortensonJan 19, 2012 This won't be the final interior
Devin BabynJan 19, 2012 You guys do know this is the base interior this can be a lot better
Chris BjorgolfssonJan 19, 2012 @brad - I was just gonna go there, this is WAY worse than the corvette interior they like to talk about so much :O
Andrew WilkinsonJan 19, 2012 No muscle car has nice interior? Bull ha
Matt PiccoloJan 19, 2012 No muscle car in thisworld has a nice interior, and this isn't an exception
Ben MossingJan 19, 2012 I don't like that rook cage, it looks like a weak point if the car where to roll
Brad HickeyJan 19, 2012 And fordboys have the gall to bash camaro and vette interiors.
James McmahonJan 19, 2012 This is a test mule its not going to have a beautiful interior
Steve WaskiewiczJan 19, 2012 Ugh... Beautiful engine, horrible interior. :(
Tyler DavisJan 19, 2012 i dont think i would want this one that has been beat on
Tomas FranquelliJan 20, 2012 How could the inside of a deck lid annoy you? Really? I mean as much as I hate Mustangs, the car is a big deal, and the team working on it deserves some appreciation.
