Ford of Europe has been using IRS for 20+ years now. I love Ford but I would still want my Stang with a solid axle.
It would be expensive cause they've never done it before so they'd need to completely develop it which takes a lot of money
Engineering an independent rear suspension to withstand all that torque would be expensive. The solid axle keeps the tires perpendicular to the road surface during acceleration meaning this will open a can of whoop-ass taking off.
probably gonna get some crap but mustangs are so boring in my opinion. they all look the same just with a different badge and a new engine. every year same thing.
I think the camera angle, rear wing and funky rear fascia make it look that way. It is hard to tell from these pics.
Is it just me or does the rear area, like the trunk look way too long for a Mustang?
Between this and the new ZL1 I guess I'm going to need to buy that supercharger I've been looking at so I can keep up! Pretty sweet for a ford.

It is just a base model interior.,it doesn't even have leather seats or a navigation display
@Andrew, the reason i say that is they all have cheap, plastic interiors with poor visibility... And also, on a personal note, I hate muscle car gauges... But that part is just me

No muscle car in thisworld has a nice interior, and this isn't an exception

How could the inside of a deck lid annoy you? Really? I mean as much as I hate Mustangs, the car is a big deal, and the team working on it deserves some appreciation.
