ATS>3series, all you BMW fanboys keep saying is "it's better, just bc it's better" when the ATS will clearly have a more reasonable sticker price, standard features, and amazing engineering that we havent seen from Caddy for way to many years.
Paul Lissona Feb 06, 2012
Kenneth jw why did you say the e36 is the black sheep? I've driven a friends occasionally and it's solid. What made that the worst 3 series?
Hank Austin Jan 30, 2012
Cadillacs are everything American cars should be
Jairo Garcia Jan 30, 2012
Not a GM fan, but glad to see Cadillac is back n putting a fight against the imports, still got a long way to go in quality/dependability but getting there I guess lol
Abraham Mendoza Jan 30, 2012
I like the car and I'm still going.
Reid Huff Jan 30, 2012
Looks like I'm going to green hell
Stephen Cobbs Jan 30, 2012
Soo this beat the 3 series around the Nurburg? Man I hope they make a V model.
Patrick Joseph Jan 30, 2012
Anyway IMO it's cool to have an alternative to stand out from the crowd. It's all down to opinions. And btw BMWs are very easy to work on. I used to work at a BMW garage and it's very straight forward. Simpler than Mercedes or VW that's for sure
Josiah Thomas Clements Jan 30, 2012
Beat it. It happens to my brother all the time. I think it's also partially due to the fact that you own one. Therefore further clouding your judgement. BMW is not that great. They are famous for electrical issues. Not trying to be mean. Just my opin
Patrick Joseph Jan 30, 2012
Caddy might give you more as standard. I don't doubt it. But BMW is for cars what Adidas is for shoes. I mean yes another make might be a cool alternative but people tend to like mainstream stuff and play conservative.
Josiah Thomas Clements Jan 30, 2012
Kenneth no one is going to care what you say about BMW because it's painfully obvious that you are a BMW fanboy. Therefore your judgement is going to be clouded because you see that big BMW logo and automatically think it's awesome and nothing can...
Jason Brown Jan 30, 2012
So wait and see and test drive and then compare for yourselves.
Jason Brown Jan 30, 2012
The people who can actually afford the premium cars do test drive and compare and choose the ones that are better. I for one went with Lexus. I was disappointed with BMW and Benz. The price categories were pretty much comparable.
Jason Brown Jan 30, 2012
There are too many myths about BMWs look at last years sales in the US market. They has less that 2% of the market share! If they are so great why are they struggling? Why has other premium car brands have out sold the BMW?
Jason Brown Jan 30, 2012
So GM who owns Opel have been very successful selling cars in the EU including Germany. So believe it that Cadillac will have a strong presence in the EU with their options of fuel saving engines.
Jason Brown Jan 30, 2012
What you guys don't realize is the pricing strategy of GM in the rest of the world. You realize that BMWs cost far less in the US. But this Cadillac will be very competitive in EU and no England is not part of the EU. They have their own pricing here
Phillip Fitchew Jan 30, 2012
for a long time now. This is fact. 4. Ppl just need to wait to see. The outcome of the battle.
Phillip Fitchew Jan 30, 2012
1. Nobody here has enough experience with the ATS to say its better than anything. Unless you were on the development team... 2. America makes better cars now, or at least it really really seems that way. 3. BMW has dominated the 3 Series' segment
Kevin Rehbock Jan 30, 2012
I believe Cadillac has a 3-Series beater here but the real challenge is getting a sales foothold in the European market.
Dillon Dixon Jan 30, 2012
Man, I love all the latest caddy commercials. The one with the Ferrari is my fav though. And I think the ats is gonna smoke the 3 series.
No Pistons Jan 30, 2012
Hell I had more fun in a G8 then a 3 series
Vic Orutsahakij Jan 30, 2012
The Lexus had claimed that they had made an M3 killer with the ISF. It's not is it? So just wait and see that all I'm saying...
Vic Orutsahakij Jan 30, 2012
This look better than the 3 series, but it 'a not going to be as good as BMW. I think this Who is better is going to far. Nobody has probably tested the car just yet so just have to wait and see. But history said nothing can beat the M3.
Teddy MacDonell Jan 30, 2012
you really can't beat magnetic ride control..
Quinn Anderson Jan 30, 2012
Yea German engineering isn't that reliable, let's use a Benz for example, there Reliability is like 70/100, it's not that great but it's not terrible either.
Patrick Schalk Jan 30, 2012
Bottom line: You get a HELL of a lot more for your money with an ATS than you do a 3 Series. No one can negate that fact.
Patrick Schalk Jan 30, 2012
And if you don't have a warranty?
Devin Babyn Jan 30, 2012
Not if you have warranty. My buddy's warranty on his 335i is amazing covers everything
Patrick Schalk Jan 30, 2012
Well I've known people who have had constant problems with their 3 Series and those are A LOT more expensive in every way to fixed or work on.
Matt Piccolo Jan 30, 2012
So I've never worked on em, I know people who've owned both, and the people who own or owned the american lux cars weren't very pleased with them and it was totally opposite for the people with the German lux, they loved em... And I do know 3 people who went from American lux to German lux and were very happy they changed
Clint Edwards Jan 30, 2012
@Matt your statement just informed me you have never worked on anything German
Matt Piccolo Jan 30, 2012
Ok? How do u know know that, oh wait, you don't... 3 series>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>ats!!!!!!!! Fact! and german engineering is way more reliable too!!! Fact #2
Tim Preisinger Jan 30, 2012
ATS > 3 series. BMWs are over priced. Driven a few BMWs. Have never been impressed. Mean while every Caddy I have ever been in has impressed me... Except my friends junky 80's Caddy.
Patrick Schalk Jan 30, 2012
The ATS comes standard with Magnetic Ride Control. How bad*ss is that? This is going to have way more things standard than any 3 Series and you won't have to pay an arm and a leg for optional things that should already be standard. ATS > 3 Series.
Kenneth Williams Jan 30, 2012
Funny how you think BMW messed up on the new 3 but it will still outsell any competitor. The 3 series is beautiful. New and old.(E36 is the black sheep.lmbo)
Jordan Smith Jan 30, 2012
I'd prefer the ATS over the 3 series. The new 3 series is just horrendous. And it's incredibly over priced.
Frank Hummel Jan 30, 2012
its funny how he hasn't even seen the ats in person thinks that ats> f30.
Zain Sheikh Jan 30, 2012
3 series > ATS fact cause many have tried but failed to beat the 3 series in sales and being fun to drive
Johnny Francis Jan 30, 2012
C class kills the 3 series?? Haha. That's why ats caddy is challenging 3 series. Not c class.
Mikey Jimenez Jan 30, 2012
I agree with Patrick ! I mean c'mon what more can you ask for, a diesel caddie with a proper 6 speed manual gear box! (it also comes with an I4 and v6 I think?)
Shane Heid Jan 30, 2012
With pat, looks better and engineered from the ground up with great handling and performance honed at the nurburgring? At the very least this will be an incredibly well balanced car with great perfotmance
John Serely Jan 30, 2012
I'd rather have the 3 series, but the ATS is better than the a4 and c class IMO
Stephen Cobbs Jan 30, 2012
Ats > 3 Series. It's not a opinion it's a fact.
Devin Babyn Jan 30, 2012
3 series > ats. It's not fact it's opinion
Cody Andree Jan 30, 2012
I agree with Patrick
Justin Routh Jan 30, 2012
I really like this car but i do think the new 3 series looks better
No Pistons Jan 30, 2012
Agreed with Patrick contrary to popular belief, a BMW is not powered by angel tears with an interior of the softest alien skin found in the universe
Josiah Thomas Clements Jan 30, 2012
I saw both tires come off the ground
Patrick Schalk Jan 30, 2012
ATS > 3 Series. Fact.
Matt Piccolo Jan 30, 2012
This is hideous and it won't beat the 3 series...
Tophr Yodasoda Jan 30, 2012
Ummmm......I don't think so Caddy!!

I DONT WANT TO SEE SUPER BOWL COMMERCIALS BEFORE THE SUPER BOWL!!!! Sorry to yell, but teasing pictures of cars about to be unveiled was bad enough. Can car companies NOT keep a secret anymore?

My daily drive: ford falcon (yes I'm in Australia) 4L inline 6. The day I got it drove 700km on 3/4 of a tank (68 litre tank) that is just under 40mpg for those playing in the US. Oh and it's a 1994 model!!!
Patrick Schalk Jan 30, 2012
Pudicus I believe that's the diesel.
Kenneth Williams Jan 30, 2012
I think a lot of people forget that the 3 series is not just a basic sedan. There a bunch of configurations for the sedan and coupe.
pudicus Jan 30, 2012
how the hell do they consider a 2 liter with only 135hp power-dense
Teddy MacDonell Jan 30, 2012
my caddy gets 19 highway :'(
Patrick Schalk Jan 30, 2012
I'll agree with that Philip. That sounds about right. And I don't know or any gas engine 3 Series that gets 40mpgs. Maybe a diesel but not a gas engine.
Phillip Holbrook Jan 30, 2012
GM has actually been saying it will get better than 30 mpg highway. I'm going to go on record and say it will get 33, not class leading but still better than Mercedes C class and Lexus IS.
Devin Babyn Jan 30, 2012
Lee that's why you don't buy the sedan and get the coupe.
Kenneth Williams Jan 30, 2012
My 3 series gets 30-35 and that's highway with a 4:10 diff.
Lee Oleinick Jan 30, 2012
Funny how there is no mention to time of laps etc ... When will people admit that the 3 series sedan is BORING?
Frank Hummel Jan 30, 2012
Can't wait...3 is the best car in this segment, let's see if Cadillac can crack this code.
Zain Sheikh Jan 30, 2012
That's not that much . The new 3 series base has 260 HP and gets 40 MPG in highway . 3series 1-ATS-0
Shane Heid Jan 30, 2012
Nope if you want 35 mpg you don't buy an optioned up performance oriented Cadillac. Just sayin
Devin Babyn Jan 30, 2012
Christian is right any 4 banger made these days has to be getting at least 35 It's not that hard and it can still have those power numbers
Elijah McCord Jan 30, 2012
I understand mpg is important but if ur that serious... this isn't the place for you.
Dennis Rech Jan 30, 2012
That is good for a mid size sedan that is optioned up like this is. Yes, there are cars that get much better mpg but not in this class.
Tashfeen Masood Qayyum Feb 14, 2012
Saab turbo technology stolen by GM.
Joel Hayes Feb 01, 2012
The only car brand that only uses rulers to design their cars?
Brahim Gudah Feb 01, 2012
It's not like Cadillacs have a huge premium for their badge unlike Audi who almost doubles price over a vw even though they both burn the same amount of oil and have the same mechanical problems of which there r many
Brahim Gudah Feb 01, 2012
Lol it's funny because BMW, Mercedes, and Audi all have plants in Mexico and china and India so Dont hate because a car company from america utilizes a country it borders and has trade agreements with and a fully loaded suburban is 75k
No Pistons Jan 31, 2012
@ Jarod 6 to be exact out of the 8 I've seen this year
Jared Ramos Jan 31, 2012
The M3 is a 3 series. How many people here have seen more women drive one. That's what I thought. Back to the Caddy... It looks aggressive and performance oriented, and will give the 3 series a run for it's money.
Paul Lissona Jan 31, 2012
I've had a couple bmws and my parents also had a 98 528i while sister had 2000 323i. Both were very fun reliable cars.
Jason Dannheim Jan 31, 2012
Maybe if there wasn't a union around that would demand too much compensation for too little work, maybe domestic car brands wouldn't turn to Canada or Mexico for labor. Oh, did I type that out loud?
Shaun Conroy Jan 30, 2012
Mercedes Benz, the best or nothing.
Matt Piccolo Jan 30, 2012
I never said it good cuz it's a BMW, I'm not a BMW enthusiast, I just have respect for a lot of their are cuz they have great designs and quality...
James Patrick Delaney Jan 30, 2012
Shouldn't have to apologize for a rant, that's what this app is all about. Peoples personal opinions. But I still like the cts v.
Tanner Perkins Jan 30, 2012
There not even well made some parts are even made in MEXICO. At least a BMW and Audi keep together. Sorry for the rant I needed to get that off my chest.
Tanner Perkins Jan 30, 2012
A trimmed out escalade goes for 80,000 even though i should know, a friend of mine had one, she bought it because she felt like she was important and a year later she went bankrupt. Look up consumer reports see where cadillacs rank.
Tanner Perkins Jan 30, 2012
I hate Cadillac. Why? Because they are a false statues symbol and because of that people drive not as a car but as a throne ( BMW and Audi are just as guilty) and because of this they are overpriced.
Jordan Smith Jan 30, 2012
This car is gorgeous.
Dillon Dixon Jan 30, 2012
Just today, I've seen 5 3 series, all we're women. 2 of them were probably not even 20 years old! Just bc it has a BMW badge on it, doesn't make it the best.
Vic Orutsahakij Jan 30, 2012
Agree what Matt said! So we can all end this argument! So if u live in America buy a caddy. If u live somewhere else in this world buy German or jap.... Lol
Matt Piccolo Jan 30, 2012
Well yea, I mean it's gunna be different depending on where u live, but where I live, that's the case and their for, I think that.
James Patrick Delaney Jan 30, 2012
I see where yer coming from but at the same time I see quite a few younger dudes Rollin in cts vs but they generally have a lot of money. I'm pretty sure some cts bs could stop an old mans heart but thats my personal opinion, but I do see where yer c
Matt Piccolo Jan 30, 2012
@Patrick, I'm not saying ur wrong cuz u may be right, but I See more girls driving mustangs than 3series where I live by far... I know 3 girls that own em, and one guy that owns, and I know 2 guys that own 3 series and 0 girls... But it could be different cuz we live in different places
Matt Piccolo Jan 30, 2012
@ James, in my mind, caddy's are (old people cars) you don't see any young people driving them, and I'm talking even 35-45year old business men, they all drive merc, audi, BMW and Acura!!! NOT CADDY, same wit Lincoln and Buick, they scream (old people cars)
Gianni Vega Jan 30, 2012
How many of you who are hating on BMW's have ever owned one or driven one for more then a short test drive? Regardless of the badge, they are great cars all around.
Clint Edwards Jan 30, 2012
Kenneth, I've driven my in-laws's 328. I was not blown away by, well, anything.
No Pistons Jan 30, 2012
Lol @ Kenneth Do you only read the broacher of the car you want?
James Patrick Delaney Jan 30, 2012
I don't think caddys are geezer car especially since the cts v is a complete ass kicker
Kenneth Williams Jan 30, 2012
That just means you don't want the ultimate driving experience
Patrick Schalk Jan 30, 2012
I too see more chicks in 3 Series than Mustangs. And that's saying something.
Christopher McSween Jan 30, 2012
This car will be a success. It looks good & has power. It will be priced either comparable or slightly less than the comp. The V Atx is going to be nasty!
James Patrick Delaney Jan 30, 2012
Sorry wrx not sex lol
James Patrick Delaney Jan 30, 2012
@ Jose, just out of curiousity why the sex over sti?
Shane Heid Jan 30, 2012
And that's okay cause we all have our preference. Preference aside this will be a great car

Tophr Yodasoda Jan 30, 2012
Here's the thing, I see way too many drivers of this brand beyond my age bracket. And well, Caddy screams "geritol" drivers no matter how much they try to change the brand. C'mon, honestly, a Bimmer or Caddy? If one could choose?
