Mopar Previews SEMA Show Cars

Mopar is celebrating its 75 anniversary with a massive display of modified Chryslers, Dodges, Jeeps, Rams, SRTs and Fiats at the SEMA show later this month.

With the 2012 SEMA show opening its doors later this month in Las Vegas, Chrysler is celebrating 75 years of its Mopar performance parts division in a big way. A total of 24 Mopar-modified Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, SRT and Fiat models will be on display in a massive 15,300 square-foot booth the automaker has planned for this year's event. All told, more than 500 Mopar performance parts and accessories will appear along with the aforementioned "Moparized" vehicles.

Mopar has just released info on a few of them, including the Fiat 500 Beach Cruiser with a nifty matte-finish grey paint job, old-school fender flares and shiny red wheels. There's also a unique roof rack, a new exhaust and a cold-air intake for improved performance. The Grand Cherokee Half & Half (distinguished by a a zipper graphic up front) has received a number of add-ons inside and out including a set of 20-inch chrome wheels. A unique Wrangler called the Sand Trooper will also be on hand with a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 producing 375 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque, plus a set of massive 42-inch "Super Swamper Bogger" tires and other off-road goodies.

There's also a Chrysler 300 Luxury edition with a unique True Blue pearlcoat and Katzkin leather upholster, a 392-horsepower Urban Ram pickup, a carbon-fiber Dodge Dart Carbon Fire and a race-inspired 2013 SRT Viper with extra carbon-fiber components. The most enticing of the bunch, however, may be the Dodge Charger Juiced, which packs the Viper's V10 with 650 horsepower on tap. Amid all the usual look-at-me tricked-out tuner cars heading to SEMA this year, the Chrysler group has caught our attention the best so far.
