ome from? Spanish or French?
Miguel Jimenez Oct 18, 2012
*Alessandro. By the way what origin does your name c
Miguel Jimenez Oct 18, 2012
@Alessandra 5-10k seems fair to me, considering you can buy a crate for 7-8k online like William said.
William Downs Oct 18, 2012
A used isf engine goes for around 7k, and the engine has already been stuffed in the frs
Alessandro Giol Oct 18, 2012
@miguel. Isf v8 for only 5-10 grand more?? Haha u must be kidding thats more like 20 gs extra if its even possible
Miguel Jimenez Oct 17, 2012
@Cory tell that to the guy who already put one in there.
Jared Palmer Oct 17, 2012
Toyota has enough fwd cars, give us something with AWD for the higher tier and mid engine for entry level sports cars. Between the already existing Yotas and Lexus, the basics are covered
William Downs Oct 17, 2012
@corey... Except its already been done, company already stuffed the isf engine in the frs and another company has already twin charged the cars also
Puneet Dass Oct 17, 2012
The final gen Jdm sw20 mr2 was making 245-255hp from stock. It was pretty quick.
Jordan Jackson Oct 17, 2012
@cory: there are ways of making engines "fit" >=) lol
Cory Deines Oct 17, 2012
Miguel, there's no way in hell the IS-F's V8 will fit in this car. According to Toyota, there's not even enough room for a factory turbocharger.
Frederick Perez Oct 17, 2012
Celica All Trac and MR2 turbo have 3sgte engines- good engines.
Miguel Jimenez Oct 17, 2012
I'm still not impressed with this car they should throw in the IS-F's V8 out of the factory. I wouldn't mind spending an extra 5-10 grand extra.
Bruce-Almighty Tumblin Oct 17, 2012
The last MR2 TURBO (1999) had at least 200hp, back then that was good power, it was light, & looked good (for those of us that remember)
Puneet Dass Oct 17, 2012
And I'm glad Toyota is going back to its 90's era. They had all kinds of "sports cars" in their line up. Supra, celica, mr2, trueno/levin, corolla gt etc
Puneet Dass Oct 17, 2012
Dude doesn't realise that the 3sgte was one of the most solid engines ever produced by Toyota. Let's hope they bring out a car with a next gen engine like that. The mr2 with that engine was a sleeper.
William Downs Oct 17, 2012
Do u just not understand that a car doesn't have to have 300hp to be fast, u can have a light car with 200hp and its still quick, lotus only had about 150hp an they were fast as hell, power to weight ratio... More important then having just power IMO
William Downs Oct 17, 2012
Mr2 was fast where it mattered, it wasn't built for speed it was a sports car for the track, light and nimble at a great price was what the mr2 was all about
Michael Page Oct 17, 2012
Sounds like supra and mr2 to me. I really hope anyway
Henz Herrero Oct 17, 2012
I rlly hated the looks of the frs, but it grew on me.. The white one next slide looks rlly hot.. But i prolly wud by a convertible rather than a coupe.. So lets have a toast for a convertible..
Michael Montefusco Oct 17, 2012
Erich, don't be an ass. It was quick for the money and ya class.
William Downs Oct 17, 2012
Better be the mr2 would live to see Toyota bring back that mid engine rocket
John Jenkins Oct 17, 2012
I personally hope it's something nee
Austin Goodman Oct 17, 2012
Hope it's an mr2. Always been a fan.
Jordan Smith Oct 17, 2012
I'd expect a reborn Supra and quite possibly a reborn Celica.
Matt Piccolo Oct 17, 2012
This is awesome!
David Justice Oct 17, 2012
Love that ride.
Carlton Salmon Oct 17, 2012
And worth more than any other Japanese car - if you can find one for sale, that is.
Justin Mancuso Oct 17, 2012
Yeah me to it has more character and heritage
Dylan Bruder Oct 17, 2012
I'll take the 2000 gt
Description: "The first is more mass-market and cheaper than the 86," Tada revealed. "And the third is more upmarket than the 86." Still in the conceptualization stage, the pair of new Toyota s...

Nathan Curtis Oct 20, 2012
I had 944 at one point. Cool car especially if you have the Turbo or swap the engine for a LSx. You're still a dumb troll though.
Ben Koch Oct 19, 2012
So Erich, wtf do you drive thats so sporty? And I really hope they don't make a Supra and sell it as a Scion in the u.s.
Aaron Crisp Oct 19, 2012
What do you drive?
Nathan Curtis Oct 19, 2012
You're going by the original definition. These days a sports car, in general, is any high performance vehicle.
Nathan Curtis Oct 19, 2012
Haha. I bet you drive a two door Civic sports car and live with your parents.
Kyle Rawn Oct 18, 2012
Use the MRS platform, update it, make it more sleek, and make the 2zzge the standard engine. Come on Toyota
Nathan Curtis Oct 18, 2012
I guess according to Erich my 5 door wrx and 3 door Trans am aren't sports cars. Or was I reading that wrong?
William Downs Oct 18, 2012
The solara Is built on the Camry platform, solara = Camry coupe, nothing related to the corolla, I would reather them make a small light roadster again but it's probally gonna be a fwd sports car unless they reuse the frs chassis
Jared Palmer Oct 17, 2012
Hell, Toyota could make a decent 2 door, fwd by building on the Corolla platform.
Jon Ashley Oct 17, 2012
I'm thinking FWD for the cheapest car. Not wishing for, thinking.
Jon Ashley Oct 17, 2012
I'm interested. I'll be in the market for a new car in about 5 years. For now, Sonic!
Bruce-Almighty Tumblin Oct 17, 2012
All im interested in is the highly anticipated all new SUPRA, or its successor.
JB Kolod Oct 17, 2012
What I personally hope they do Erich is sort of what you described, but turn it into a tiny two seat roadster to directly compete with the mx-5
Puneet Dass Oct 17, 2012
I bet it's gonna be a type r equivalent. So front wheel drive NA with maybe lift technology. Like the 2zzge :-D
Carlton Sofocusedon Green Oct 17, 2012
Sports cars should be rear wheel drive
John Jenkins Oct 17, 2012
sports cars should have a roof
Patrick Schalk Oct 17, 2012
I bet the Supra will be a hybrid.
JB Kolod Oct 17, 2012
They already accomplished all those things with the frs, they couldn't go back and develop a whole new rear drive platform and keep it any cheaper than the frs just by offering a smaller engine. I guarantee they make a Renault megane competitor
Austin Goodman Oct 17, 2012
If its not mid engined it's not an MR2. After all the M stands for mid-engined. Probably won't be an mr2 anyway as that wouldn't exactly be "mass-market".
Paul Yaya Mondares Oct 17, 2012
This made my morning.
JB Kolod Oct 17, 2012
Are people really interested in a sports car cheaper than a frs? Would it even be a 'sports car' at that point?
William Downs Oct 17, 2012
It's a corolla coupe with the levin front end
Patrick Schalk Oct 17, 2012
What's that  on the right?
Frederick Perez Oct 17, 2012
Where's MR2 turbo here?
Morgan Marcella Oct 17, 2012
I kinda like all of them
Michael Montefusco Oct 17, 2012
At Migeul: Yes lol
Miguel Jimenez Oct 17, 2012
@Michael sarcasm I'm guessing?
Bruce-Almighty Tumblin Oct 17, 2012
No Tyler the 1999 MR2 TURBO & the SUPRA TURBO, also the GT-86
William Downs Oct 17, 2012
Nvm it's a corolla with the Levin front end
William Downs Oct 17, 2012
What's the grey car on the right
Michael Montefusco Oct 17, 2012
OMG OMG SUPRA OMG 8 BILLION HP WITH A STOCK BLOCK OMG SUPRA BEST CAR EVER OMG OMG EVERYTHING NEEDS AND 1 AND 2 JZ
Justin Mancuso Oct 17, 2012
That celica to the left is my dream first car.Gotta wait a year though
William Downs Oct 17, 2012
Ill take that gt-four
Austin Goodman Oct 17, 2012
Lexus LFA isn't cool?
Tyler Tarbox Oct 17, 2012
Supra = only cool car Toyota has ever made
Matt Piccolo Oct 17, 2012
Supraaaaa!!!!! :)
Scott Westphall Oct 18, 2012
Gunter, I completely agree.
gunter Oct 18, 2012
looks better than an audi R8 !!!!!
Jahaziel Ortiz Oct 18, 2012
Looks better, I'd buy turbo
rossi46 Oct 18, 2012
wow, if it looked this good, i'd buy one.
Cody Gillard Oct 17, 2012
I like it and since its a toyota it should be very reliable
Blizzy B. Gazak Oct 17, 2012
back reminds me of the v12 zagato
Zaire Wilkins Oct 17, 2012
boy if the GT-86 or brz look like this i would like it but its too late
Christopher McSween Oct 17, 2012
Awesome looking. Don't know if it will be as popular as the Supra was though.
Matt Piccolo Oct 17, 2012
I agree looks awesome!
Dillon Dixon Oct 17, 2012
Wow! I wish they would have kept the aggressiveness of the concept. All the pillars look so much more menacing than the production model!
chikenbag Oct 18, 2012
it's called the sports 800
Miguel Jimenez Oct 18, 2012
I don't know what is but it looks a smashed 2000GT.
William Downs Oct 18, 2012
Kinda looks like a successor to the 2000gt but I could be wrong... Who has the correct answer?
Joseph Gregory Metoyer Oct 17, 2012
what is the silver car?
Patrick Schalk Oct 17, 2012
If you wanna build it for drifting, you need torque. LS = torque.
Miguel Jimenez Oct 17, 2012
@Matt LS engines are very light, and you want to know something funny? The LS1 is the most used engine in formula D!
Michael Montefusco Oct 17, 2012
Don't forget time attack.
Matt Piccolo Oct 17, 2012
Ok sorry I think I worded that wrong... They weren't built for drifting but their platforms are perfect for building up a good drift set up.
Michael Montefusco Oct 17, 2012
Matt... AE86s were not built for drifting. Yes they make a decent drift car, buts that NOT why they were built...
Matt Piccolo Oct 17, 2012
@ Miguel, that would b stupid, it would reck the balance of the car and if u haven't noticed, they're built for drifting...
Miguel Jimenez Oct 17, 2012
You guys act like throwing a supercharger wouldn't make the AE86 nose heavy lol! I'd throw an LS1 in it and call it a day, ya I said it!
Jackson Bond Oct 17, 2012
Great cars, but they also make the Camry and Prius, shit of the automotive world. You don't throw a 2jz into an ae86, you supercharge that 4age and have fun with it. People that say "supra engine" would also probably throw an automatic in there...
William Downs Oct 17, 2012
Ae86 was a really great car, had a really good engine and is a blast to drive, along with the mr2, Celica gt-fours, Toyota supra, frs... All great cars made by Toyota
William Downs Oct 17, 2012
U dont throw a heavy ass engine like a 2jz in a 86, u keep that amazing 4cylinder they had and build it up, gotta keep that balance
Eric Anthony Oct 17, 2012
2jze or something like that
Eric Anthony Oct 17, 2012
I don't need to get technical bitch
Michael Montefusco Oct 17, 2012
You know Simone knows nothing about toyotas when they say "supra engine"
Eric Anthony Oct 17, 2012
Tha ae86 is tha best right there. Put a supra engine in it & you're set
David Guerrero Oct 17, 2012
The door may be carbon fiber to reduce weight
Patrick Schalk Oct 17, 2012
Why the hell is the door a different color?
Tyler Tarbox Oct 17, 2012
Agreed. At least they're cheap
Colby Church Oct 17, 2012
Classic Toyotas = Fugly
Carlton Salmon Oct 17, 2012
That 2000 GT looks stunning in red and surprisingly modern looking for a car fast approaching 50 years old.
Maynor Pineda Oct 18, 2012
The toyota gt 86 is the best toyota well done toyota keep it up
