Jeremy SiebertOct 21, 2012 An improvement team? That sounds great, but I don't see any improvements.
Nate PerryOct 20, 2012 Its always great when an improvement team comes in and makes the manufacture think why didnt we do that?
Brian JohnstonOct 19, 2012 @Dhruv that's because they are. Same bumper. Same rims. Just different paint.

Jeremy SiebertOct 21, 2012 I've seen it happen twice in the last couple weeks. Once the biggest-most modified-best tired Jeep in our group sunk himself in a sand culvert so deep it took 5 Jeeps, 2 winches, & 7 tow-straps pulling from 3 different directions to free him.
Jeremy SiebertOct 21, 2012 @Matt: the real question is, did u then drive the Santa Fe into the same spot the Jeep got stuck in? There are plenty of times a simple wrong line taken can result in an incredibly capable vehicle getting stuck where lesser vehicles have no trouble
Matt PiccoloOct 20, 2012 @ Anton, just sayin, their experienced! They go atving, dirt biking and all... And my dad isn't an off roader lol
Anton ZhukovOct 20, 2012 I can see how Matt's story of a stuck jeep can be true. Inexperienced drivers looking for trouble using a lower end model (no locker, and lets hope they put it in 4x4) could possibly get rescued by an experienced driver and traction controlled awd.
No PistonsOct 19, 2012 Some faith has been restored to humanity lol

Patrick SchalkOct 19, 2012 Holy crap Matt how do you not understand that? It doesn't matter if they are rare in Canada. They're EVERYWHERE in the US.
No PistonsOct 19, 2012 Whats irrelevant is you trying to make it different. So you not seeing X mean its not popular, that is your reasoning. That is the equation you are using I simply took out jeep for X and changed it to Hindu, now it's a completely different equation?
Matt PiccoloOct 19, 2012 I are why ur saying it but its still irrelevant!
No PistonsOct 19, 2012 Area does that mean they are not popular anywhere else? Because I don't see Hindus in my area does that mean they are not popular anywhere else? I really can't clear up the thought experiment any more simple
No PistonsOct 19, 2012 Facepalm.... I'm not arguing the exact number of something nor the growth rate, I am debating your reasoning of failing to acknowledge the popularity of any given thing due to you not personally witnessing it. Because you do not see jeeps in your
Matt PiccoloOct 19, 2012 Even if they're under the same principals, their 2 totally different things with 2 different patterns
Matt PiccoloOct 19, 2012 @ no pistons... It's still totally irrelevant... # of People vs # of cars?? Patterns are different between the 2 so I really don't get what ur point is
Kyle RawnOct 19, 2012 Most Jeep owners I know don't even use them offroad. Heck they barely take them on gravel roads.
No PistonsOct 19, 2012 Obviously not there are 883 million followers and counting. Because you don't see jeeps does that mean they are unpopular or not common? Again obviously not if the factory is struggling to keep up with demand
No PistonsOct 19, 2012 No no its not, it's the principle and that's an example to show your flaw in reasoning. Because you don't see X does not mean its rare or unpopular. Because I don't see Hindus does that mean there aren't that many or it's not a large religion?..
Matt PiccoloOct 19, 2012 That's totally irrelevant... People vs a car which is something u but is 2 totally different things
No PistonsOct 19, 2012 I rarely see a hindu in las vegas, does that mean they are rare and not many exist? Or does that make it very difficult to believe they are a VERY large culture?
Matt PiccoloOct 19, 2012 I just find that hard to believe bec of how rare they r here.. Honestly, I MAYBE see one once a week, MAYBE
No PistonsOct 19, 2012 If you read the article, the factory operates 20 hours a day six days a week to try and keep up with demand. And they are NOT rare in the US
Matt PiccoloOct 19, 2012 But idk how popular they are their so...
Matt PiccoloOct 19, 2012 @ Patrick, I wasn't saying u were wrong, but I just find it hard to believe considering how rarely I see these in Canada... Like if they're this rare in the us, they must not have high production rates AT ALL if they cannot meet demand...
Patrick SchalkOct 19, 2012 Matt there have been articles on here stating that the plant in Toledo cannot keep up with demand. Pay attention.
No PistonsOct 19, 2012 http://m.autoblog.com/2012/01/16/chrysler-boosting-wrangler-production-to-meet-heavy-demand/
Matt PiccoloOct 19, 2012 But we went through mud dirt water rocks and sand to get to them, we knew our way bec we had been out their with them before
Matt PiccoloOct 19, 2012 Patrick, I barely see any of these in Canada... And hell, these would b really good in the snow here but I still don't see them so idk how they can't produce them fast enough... And there's nothing done o my dads truck at all, it's all stock
Patrick SchalkOct 19, 2012 Matt, Jeep can't make these things fast enough, literally. Driving on a dirt road doesn't count as offroading. You're obviously leaving out a variable in your story. Whether it be tires or what I'm not sure.
Matt PiccoloOct 19, 2012 And why did we have to pull a wrangler out that was stuck then? I'm not saying the Santa Fe is better (I actually highly dis like my dads Santa Fe) but the wrangler isn't as good as u make it seem (but don't get me wrong it's good @ what it does)
Matt PiccoloOct 19, 2012 @ Patrick, just bec it went 9 years doesn't mean it should, and this isn't one of the best selling vehicles of all time, I JUST searched up a list of the 50 best selling cars ever and it wasn't one of them (yes suv's were included in it)
Patrick SchalkOct 19, 2012 With me when I go rock crawling. There's no way.
Patrick SchalkOct 19, 2012 Matt I don't believe that at all. And the TJ ran from 97-06. That's 9 years. This is one of the best selling vehicles of all time. They don't need to change it. You obviously haven't done any REAL offroading. I'd like to see that Santa Fe keep up wit
Alex O'BrianOct 19, 2012 Khan my friend, you turned a jeep to lipton tea box.
Matt PiccoloOct 19, 2012 Ok then I'd b in if u get enough people!
No PistonsOct 19, 2012 Nationals will be worth double points
No PistonsOct 19, 2012 @matt
It will be weekly/bi weekly races with a good amount of them so it is possible to make up for loss points. If we get enough people it will have regional and national races
Matt PiccoloOct 19, 2012 @ Brian... My dads Santa Fe just has regular all season tires from the factory... And @ no pistons, I don't play much cuz I don't hve much time to but I would do that
No PistonsOct 19, 2012 Communicating everything/organizing the races through the fan page "Car People Are Awesome" along with personal messages. Let me know if interested and again I'm making this a legit series so it will be highly competitive :) well hopefully lol
No PistonsOct 19, 2012 Off topic but trying to get a ball rolling on this, who here is interested in doing a Forza4 Carbuzz championship? I'm setting this up to be a legit series for us(restrictions, qualy, teams, etc) if interested contact me on FB and I will be...
Brian JohnstonOct 19, 2012 Nice. I did the same in a two wheel drive Chevy 1500. Good tires make all the difference.
Matt PiccoloOct 19, 2012 @ Brian, yes a Santa Fe... when my dad asked me if I wanted to come along, I laughed a bit bec I thought he was kidding... But I went and we got through it all... Believe me if I didn't witness it my self I wouldn't believe it either lol
Brian JohnstonOct 19, 2012 Hahaha a Santa Fe? I would have liked to witness that.
Matt PiccoloOct 19, 2012 Like don't get me wrong, in the long run this would kill my dads Santa Fe off road, but that day, it could do everything their jeep did (which was a lot and it was pretty rough) without any sort of struggle
Matt PiccoloOct 19, 2012 It got through everything their wrangler did without a problem
Matt PiccoloOct 19, 2012 Same horrid terrain they did to go pull them out of a swampy like area... We had to go through mud, water, rocks an even a bit of sand to get to them! My dads awd Santa Fe... Like in no way is a Santa Fe a better off roster than one of these... But
Edgar JaureguiOct 19, 2012 Highlander, Explorer, Pathfinder, Durango; wrangler's not changing
Matt PiccoloOct 19, 2012 I dont wanna sound like I'm hating, cuz it's probably going to come out like that... But I think people give these too much off road credit... Our friends got stuck when they were out off roading in one of these and guess what went through all the
Edgar JaureguiOct 19, 2012 The wrangler is an icon and therefore cannot be given a full makeover. The wrangler gens usually live for about a decade or so, sooo an update or new gen isn't coming soon. Like an earlier comment said, if you want a modern looking SUV, get a
Brian JohnstonOct 19, 2012 @matt the did update. Hence the four doors added a couple years ago. Jeeps are a utilitarian vehicle made to offroad. Hence lockers, disconnecting sway bars and floor drains. Idk of any other car made to get cleaned by a garden hose.
Anton ZhukovOct 19, 2012 Being perfectly flat. And it's lot like people are cross shopping these with highlanders or rav4s anywaysAnd jeep can't build them fast enough anyways. And they have updated them to pentastars v6s and special editions like islander and tomb raider.
Anton ZhukovOct 19, 2012 @Matt. I don't think you get the point of wranglers. Sorry to sound cliche, but "it's a jeep thing". The design tries to stay as true to the original as possible, this is actually the first generation who's windshield has a slight curve instead of
Jordan JacksonOct 19, 2012 The wrangler is an icon, it's not going to change much from the way it has always looked
Jordan JacksonOct 19, 2012 Tell that to Aston Martin and Porsche...
Matt PiccoloOct 19, 2012 And this is right at the 5 year mark
Matt PiccoloOct 19, 2012 And I know a lot of people who don't like these...
Matt PiccoloOct 19, 2012 They deleted my other post so the 2 below this don't make any sence... The last time they redesigned this was in 2007 and it was barely noticeable unless ur a huge jeep fan so it wouldn't b "every year" most automakers redesign suv's after 4-5 year
Matt PiccoloOct 19, 2012 And it's right at that mark this year, many companies actually do it every 4 years
Matt PiccoloOct 19, 2012 Automakers update SUVs if u havnt noticed
Patrick SchalkOct 19, 2012 Matt do you know how effing expensive it would be to update everything every year? They are focusing on drivetrain and interior update before they update the exterior. Besides, you're one of the VERY few people that don't like it.
Taylor GarryOct 19, 2012 Then you shouldnt get a jeep. Thats the way they are if they changed it would be a nightmare. Oh and kahn needs to just stop. Its ridiculous
Matt PiccoloOct 19, 2012 Sorry bec they run for 10 years they don't need an exterior up date? What? And just cuz it's a jeep doesn't mean it shouldn't get an update, they're pretty ugly IMO...
Patrick SchalkOct 19, 2012 Expedition vehicle my ass. Do they even know what that means or do they just write stupid shit on all of their stuff?
They usually run for 10 years or so. So don't expect an exterior update anytime soon. They don't need to anyways. It's a Jeep.
Matt PiccoloOct 19, 2012 Still really don't care for the looks... When are they going to redesign this, it needs it bad!
Carlton SalmonOct 19, 2012 This one actually doesn't look bad. Apart from the yellow paint making it resemble a Hummer H2.
An improvement team? That sounds great, but I don't see any improvements.
Its always great when an improvement team comes in and makes the manufacture think why didnt we do that?
