Hennessey Tests the Limits of Texas Toll Road

When the Texas state govrnment needed to test its TxTag toll camera system, it called on John Hennessey and his 1,226-horsepower Cadillac.
John Hennessey's outfit creates some of the fastest and most powerful cars on the planet, including as this potent Cadillac CTS-V Coupe. When Hennessey ran into Texas Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, he recommended using his CTV-S VR1200 to help test the TxTag toll tag systems on the new high-speed section of SH-130. With 1,226 horsepower on tap from a 7.0-liter twin-turbo V8, The Hennessey CTS-V is capable of reaching over 220 mph, making it the ideal car for the job.
The toll systems, however, still managed to clock the super-coupe at 180 mph, capturing both the front and rear license plates and the vehicles toll tag. Check out the Caddy's incredible acceleration in the clip below.
