Wald Supercharges Lexus GS350 for SEMA

Lexus has yet to offer a proper GS F performance model, but it has teamed up with Wald Internatiional on a GS 350 F Sport show car for the SEMA show in Las Vegas.

Lexus isn't quite ready to show off the new GS F performance model variant just yet, so to quench loyal enthusiasts' thirsts for added power, the Japanese automaker has prepared a supercharged version of the GS 350 F Sport for the 2012 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The customized luxury sedan features a body kit from fellow Japanese firm Wald International, complete with front-lip and trunk-lid spoilers and redesigned side skirts.

Lexus has also added a new coilover suspension from RSR, Brembo GT Brakes and a set of big 20-inch Vossen CV7 wheels wrapped in high-performance Yokohama S. Drive tires. The new project's true focus, however, lies under the hood, where Lexus has enhanced the performance of the 3.5-liter V6 with an Apexi CG SPL supercharger kit, throttle controller from Smart Accel and a PTS Joe Z Series true dual exhaust system. No word as of yet for the upgraded engine's output, but it should be somewhere north of the standard F Sport's 306 horsepower rating.
