Chris Marshall ErnstNov 11, 2012 Actually it cost £500,000 when new, and that was roughly $1M at the time. So 700% profit. As if I needed another reason to dream of being an original owner.
Brian JohnstonNov 10, 2012 So a 350% investment for the original owner.
Matthew MckernanNov 10, 2012 The Bugatti sold for an un disclosed price of between $30 and $40 Million. The owner or the seller never said exactly how much it sold for. So officially, The $35 million Ferrari 250 GTO is the most expensive car ever sold.
Adithya ChandrasekharNov 10, 2012 I think they meant the most expensive sports/supercar. The Bugatti is a luxurious grand tourer of sorts
Thibault LeroyNov 10, 2012 No the Bugatti 57SC Atlantic Coupe sold for 40 million $

omarSVNov 11, 2012 lol a few of you are wrong. the topgear race you guys are talking about took place in Dubai, its very hot there and anyone who knows their sh*t will tell you that cars with turbos (veyron) dont perform anywhere near as well as they should, the hotter it gets. @Kevin, thats why the veyron got a poor start in that race off the line, its fact, obviously you cant argue with around 1000bhp so it beat t...
Nick SchneeNov 11, 2012 Well, the Veyron weights like 2000kg and has AWD... Straight line performance only.
Miranda Nearlydriftingondreams PavelleNov 11, 2012 Veyron SS 0-60 is ESTIMATED at 2.2 seconds. The thing is, the F1 would crush the Veyron around a curvy track, since the F1 is so nimble and light. Even the MP4 12C went around the TG track faster than the Veyron SS, by 0:04 seconds, I do believe.
Kevin CarlinNov 11, 2012 There's no way it could beat a veyron off the line..
Jordan SmithNov 10, 2012 Nearly 20 years old and it still holds that record. That's awesome.
Luke PurdyNov 10, 2012 @jesse mate it does it in 2.6
Jesse AndersenNov 10, 2012 Bugatti Super Sport- 0-60 2.2
McLaren F-1 0-60 3.2
No chance. Also I can see Mr. Bean wreckin one, haha.
Walker CarrollNov 10, 2012 Also, it's TopGear. You can't take everything they do as fact. In a race, a Veyron will monster it. In the top gear race, the F1 beat it off the line and a little bit farther, then the Veyron overtook it
Matthew MazzarelliNov 10, 2012 Not sure how it almost beat the Bugatti but alright lol
Serge PankratovNov 10, 2012 Too many gadgets and crap and everything has to have a turbo and hybrid setup nowadays
Serge PankratovNov 10, 2012 Now this is a true raw machine. They dont make em like that anymore :(
Nick SchneeNov 10, 2012 Eve heard of the P1, mate?
Kyle KloewerNov 10, 2012 Now who remembers when the F1 almost beat the Bugatti in Topgear? I saw that and said, why isn't mclaren remaking this!? Now they could destroy it!!
omarSVNov 11, 2012 @chris you only open the bottom half, thereby causing the least disturbance to the airflow over the car. speed is of great importance in this beast.
Kian FrancisNov 11, 2012 They have ruined it with the spoiler
Chris McCormickNov 10, 2012 What's up with the window? Split in two
lol@David...+1
