Hey Guy's, get your history straight. The original Batmobile was built by George Barris using Ford Motor Companies Lincoln Futura concept car. I saw it at Barris' shop before he customized it into the Batmobile. It was NOT built on a Cadillac chassis as your article claims. Jim Keeler

The show became very popular and 4 more cars were made of fiberglass off mold of the original to be shown at car shows and one was set up as a drag racer.

Wrong! The Batmobile was built on the Futura concept. Not a 59 Caddy. George Barris bought it from ford. He painted it red and used it in a Dinah Shore movie before transforming it into the beautiful Batmobile.
