@jon totally agree
Jon White Nov 17, 2012
HONDA, I LOVE YOU, BUUUUUT! WHY U NO SELL TYPE R IN MERICA!
Puneet Dass Nov 17, 2012
First they say its gonna have a 1.6 liter turbo engine. Now they say it'll have 300hp. I'm not gonna believe anything until I hear it from the horses mouth
Nick Ballard Nov 17, 2012
Awd in a civic will never happen. Rwd won't even happen, but 300hp will still be enough to spank glis and gtis
DjVegar No Imitations Nov 17, 2012
I had a built not brought 1.6 vtec turbo civic now obviously it was highly tuned but it still used the vtec and it was unbelievably quick so I'm looking forward to this
Ravi Hira Nov 17, 2012
This should be interesting...shame Vtec is going:(
Jonathan Tjandra Nov 17, 2012
300hp its really a lot of power for a civic to beat a golf gti
Carlos Eduardo Gaviria Nov 17, 2012
It better be AWD, 300hp to the front wheels would be kinda ridiculous IMO
Jacob Viiper McCord Nov 17, 2012
I'll give it a year before their motors blow.
Zach Gathercole Nov 17, 2012
AWD would be awesome too
Wyatt Ortega Nov 16, 2012
The Honda civic runs
David Hicks Nov 16, 2012
No more 8500rpm with forced induction, devastating.
Ryan Patrick Clauson Nov 16, 2012
Honda is finally doing a turbo? Let's see how quick this ship sinks
Frederick Perez Nov 16, 2012
Let me guess not avail in the U.S
Sam Oglesby Nov 16, 2012
Hmm that's strange ford has just announced a focus st cosworth with 330 hp
Patrick Schalk Nov 16, 2012
I hope Honda saw all my comments about them.
Matt Piccolo Nov 16, 2012
Still gunna rev to 9k??? Please do! :)
Stephen Ishard Nov 16, 2012
300 hp shoebox count me out
Paul Dickey Nov 16, 2012
This looks terrible.
Matt Piccolo Nov 16, 2012
I've always liked these a lot! Not a big fan of the euro civic, but these r pretty sweet! I saw a few when I was over in Europe
Adam Beiersdorfer Nov 16, 2012
Even if it does pack 300hp... Who cares... It's a 300hp bubble of design...
Tyler Tarbox Nov 16, 2012
Wow that's a hideous car
Byakka Hirakawa Nov 16, 2012
Looks big for a civic
Austin Bride Nov 16, 2012
Always hated the looks of these
Description: The rumor comes from a source at Honda's R&D center who said that "our car will be the fastest front-wheel-drive model around the Nurburgring when it goes on sale. And we will do whateve...

The current Rs focus and Rs 500 are putting out 300+350bhp they put the power down fine and handle rather well just should of used the same diff as they had in the mk1 focus Rs remember that car beat the impreza classic around the nurburg ring FACT !
Zach Gathercole Nov 17, 2012
It should be AWD
Will Ridgway Nov 16, 2012
When they mentioned it having "rear wheel seating", wouldn't they have meant rear wheel STEERING? Honda has used this technology in the past on models such as the Prelude so I wouldn't be surprised if that was what they meant.
Justin Routh Nov 16, 2012
I dont understand why any performance car would be fwd. makes no sense to me cuz once you try and add a decent amount of power youre screwed
Nick Schnee Nov 16, 2012
If they want it to go fast around the 'ring, it NEEDS to handle well. So I guess they know what they're doing.
John Darwin Price Nov 16, 2012
300 HP is too much in any FWD car. Why not focus more on handling and make it lighter?
Sam Biggin Nov 18, 2012
That's the old type r
Frederick Perez Nov 17, 2012
Wrong placement on the spoiler or remove it- it's better without it.
DjVegar No Imitations Nov 17, 2012
Agree with will well said if there making a type r of that ugly (latest) shape they've got now they best make some major changes or maybe make a coupe style design just to get rid of that ugly rear end
Will Ridgway Nov 16, 2012
To be honest I absolutely despise the design of the NEWEST euro spec iteration of the civic. The taillights look plain retarded. (Not pictured above) The one above is the preceding model, and the taillights are smoother and I think look better.
Tyler Tarbox Nov 16, 2012
My Honda lawn mower looks better than this
Reid Huff Nov 16, 2012
Hot hatch is definitely not "their" game. European automakers were making Hot hatches way before Honda.
David Parenti Nov 16, 2012
The back is just kinda funky looking. Loose the spoiler. The focus ST is pretty advanced and comes at a fair price. Honda is loosing at their own game.
David Parenti Nov 16, 2012
I'm sorry, you misread that. Honda NEEDS this car. They are losing to ford and VW at their own game! The "hot hatch" is one of the fastest growing trends and Ford along with VW is winning. Honda needs to build this an it needs to stand out!
Byakka Hirakawa Nov 16, 2012
I will say It looks better than wat ive seen of these Id own one
David Parenti Nov 16, 2012
Looks like a turd
Redge Diakité Nov 17, 2012
@Ray It's the Renault M├ęgane Trophy the race going version with a V6 instead of a 4 cylinder ;)
Carlos Eduardo Gaviria Nov 17, 2012
The ultimate FWD car!
Ray Garcia Nov 17, 2012
Whatttt that shit is fresh!( car in the back) is it the same car with a wider front kit?
Paul Dickey Nov 16, 2012
I would easily take this.
Tyler Tarbox Nov 16, 2012
Now that is a "hot" hatch
Austin Bride Nov 16, 2012
So much better
Sasa Jungic Nov 18, 2012
Well vtec and vvt is not the same. Vvt is variable valve timing where vtec has a lift duration which opens valves more
Puneet Dass Nov 17, 2012
Vtec just kicked in yo! Actually I love the k20a engine
David Parenti Nov 17, 2012
I have a VVT V8 and I love it.
Adam Beiersdorfer Nov 17, 2012
I have a pair of Boosted 4 Bangers... But neither of them are Hondas... And I swear by mine... ~OOOO~
Vince DeMasi Nov 17, 2012
I love how everyone on here is bashing vtec cause everyone who has a four banger around here swears by vtec.... That's why I drive a V8
Jacob Viiper McCord Nov 17, 2012
does the Vtec logo add another 100hp?
David Parenti Nov 16, 2012
Ford has z-tec lol
Stephen Tyler Learn Nov 16, 2012
Vtec was cool back in the early 90s when it was an innovative technology. Now that vvt is on almost every new engine it's really nothing special and Honda needs to stop making a big deal about it
Tyler Tarbox Nov 16, 2012
VTEC is a joke.
Adam Beiersdorfer Nov 16, 2012
Zzzzzzzzzz
David Parenti Nov 16, 2012
V-tec brooooo!
DjVegar No Imitations Nov 17, 2012
Very nice for a Honda IMO
Zach Gathercole Nov 17, 2012
Love this interior but the dash looks really high
