Beetle 53 Edition Exclusive to Spain

Inspired by the classic Herbie love-bug, this latest special edition Beetle is reserved for the Spanish market.

This Herbie-inspired Bug, dubbed the Beetle 53 Edition, is being rolled out in Spain as VW has deemed it necessary to introduce yet another special edition model to the market. It features a white exterior and sports distinctive red and blue stripes, the famous encircled 53 on the hood and Type One Design 17-inch alloys.

Inside, a Beetle 53 badge appears on the glove box and comes with some additional standard equipment such as Park Pilot parking assist.

Three engines are available for the special edition Beetle: an entry-level 1.2-liter TFSI unit rated at 105 horsepower, a 1.6-liter TDI also with 105 hp, and a 2.0-liter TDI with 140 hp on tap. The Beetle 53 Edition will hit Spanish showrooms imminently, with prices starting from 22,090 Euros.
