ROUSH!! HELL YEAH
tylergrandstaff Dec 03, 2012
now I will admit the raptors are slick.
William Downs Nov 23, 2012
I'm sorry but seriously Matthew.. u thought the viper, a car renowned for its v10 power had a v12? What have u been reading?
Matthew Crighton Nov 23, 2012
David I thought it was a V12 but you might be right. Either way it sounded awesome
David Parenti Nov 23, 2012
A 4000lb car that will run 14s stock. Slap a pro charger on there, some bolt on's, you have a 11-12 sec streetable sleeper.
Tyler Tarbox Nov 23, 2012
The Marauder is the ultimate sleeper. Nothing like a grandpa car with a big V8 haha
David Parenti Nov 23, 2012
32v with DOHC and a little exhaust work, it sounds really good. People I work with think it has a mustang cobra motor in it, it definitely doesn't lol. I get in a street race every now and then and it does pretty great. Wish I got a marauder though
Tyler Tarbox Nov 23, 2012
And wow I can't believe that guy asked $30K for it. If I had to sell mine I would maybe ask 20
Tyler Tarbox Nov 23, 2012
David, that's a cool car! Kinda like the GNX in terms of a sleeper.
David Parenti Nov 23, 2012
Alex, it's not stock with wheels. It has a supercharger... Read
Alex Medvedev Nov 23, 2012
Right now looks stock to me anyone can buy rims lets see interior and good
David Parenti Nov 23, 2012
Ricers hate it, to get beat by "grandpas 4 door Lincoln".
David Parenti Nov 23, 2012
Ford will not come out with a new lightning unless it will beat the SRT10 dodge. That is their benchmark. @Tyler an 05 Lincoln LS V8 sport, With a few bolt on's. stock is close to 300 hp and weighs as much as a mustang. It's kinda a sleeper.
David Parenti Nov 23, 2012
@tyler. The best Chevy/Ford competition was the 454 SS Chevy truck, and the First Gen Lightning. After that, nothing. @matthew, you mean viper V10? Pretty sure there was never a V12.
Tyler Tarbox Nov 23, 2012
The SS was just so slow compared to the Lightning and SRT
Jommel Marcella Nov 23, 2012
Now that's Top Class.
Patrick Schalk Nov 23, 2012
SRT is supposed to be making the Quiksilver truck that has the 392 in it. MT did a piece on it awhile back. It's a slick truck. I liked the SS but I wish they wouldn't have made some with AWD and they should've made some single cab ones.
Tyler Tarbox Nov 23, 2012
Or the SRT-10 Ram. That was the Lightning's main competitor. The Silverado SS was supposed to be competition but that truck was just terrible in every way. Which was disappointing. It should have been much better
Matthew Crighton Nov 22, 2012
If ford brings back the lightning dodge better make a new rumble bee. I saw one last year-a lightened two door ram with a viper v12. It sounded sexy.
Tyler Tarbox Nov 22, 2012
@David. What did you get instead?
Tyler Tarbox Nov 22, 2012
Aiden did you get it? Cuz that's a hell of a deal
David Parenti Nov 22, 2012
You just got beat by a truck! And I've seen one with 20k miles on it and the owner wanted 30k for it. I almost bought a Marauder (grand marquis with Mustang Cobra engine) with 30k miles for 13k. Shoulda bought it.
Colby Church Nov 22, 2012
Lightnings are sleepers to most people, that's why I like them. Ricers are like WTF!?
Aiden Bass Nov 22, 2012
Tyler I was just looking at a lightning with 7,000 miles for sale for $19,995
Tyler Tarbox Nov 22, 2012
Lightnings are tough to find used. Especially now. They just keep going up in value. I've seen a few in my area sell for almost $30K. Mine's only got 40K miles which is about as low as I've seen any selling on cars.com or autotrader
David Parenti Nov 22, 2012
That's one car that always turns my head. Every time I see a lightning or a marauder I get a little excited. Before I bought my car I looked hard for a lightning, but couldn't find one with decent mileage close enough to me.
Tyler Tarbox Nov 22, 2012
Me too. I love mine. It's an 04 and I thought by now it would look out dated by now but it really doesn't. Even turns some heads surprisingly
David Parenti Nov 22, 2012
They were so expensive because it was barely an F-150. The frame and suspension were totally different. The engine and interior as well. So yeah they were pretty pricey. I like the second gen lightnings a best.
Tyler Tarbox Nov 22, 2012
@David. That would be awesome. But yeah I see your point about the price. It would most likely be very expensive. But for its time, the old Lightning was rather expensive too. Compared to the other F-150 options at least
David Parenti Nov 22, 2012
Tyler, there is talk about bringing back the lightning. Most likely be an twin turbo 5.0L. The price is the real issue.
Stas Allen Nov 22, 2012
Oh you truck people and your rivalries, never cease to amaze me.
Tyler Tarbox Nov 22, 2012
Looks alright, but I still think that Ford needs to bring back the Lightning. Just lighten a base two-door F-150 and give it the 750 horsepower Super Snake engine. I would go buy that the day it released
John Atnip Nov 22, 2012
Roush should stick to Mustangs. The stock Raptor is good enough. And if you want a modded one, get the Hennessy Velociraptor.
Patrick Schalk Nov 22, 2012
The Silvy isn't underpowered Tin. It's fine. I love the Raptor but you guys are retarded sometimes. BTW, the new Ram 1500 kicks everyones ass. 8spd Hemi with Quadralift II system and those interior goodies.
Wyatt Ortega Nov 22, 2012
I wish chevy would make a off roader
David Parenti Nov 22, 2012
I thought Chevy had plans of building some Raptor competition. Dodge came out with that Ram Runner. It's a dealer option, not a turn-key truck. It costs more, and doesn't come with wheels and tires! You have to buy the wheels and tires.
Tin Nguyen Nov 22, 2012
Chevy has always came in 2nd. The silverado is so underpowered even the tundra is a better choice.
Drew Humphrey Nov 22, 2012
Meh. Stock looks better still...less boring
Justin Routh Nov 22, 2012
Hahahaha oh that was a funny one
Zach Gathercole Nov 22, 2012
Love the rims

Jerrod Swenson Nov 22, 2012
It is $6200 for the phase 1 supercharger kit and $599 for the phase 2 which needs the phase 1 which is the supercharger. Right price bad wording.
Patrick Schalk Nov 22, 2012
The Raptor is the NA 6.2
Michael Riley Nov 22, 2012
No Hovie it is not. There is definitely a typo here.
Brian Johnston Nov 22, 2012
If you people knew how to read you would have saw that its a calibration and a pulley
Patrick Schalk Nov 22, 2012
Superchargers are usually around 6k so they just left out a 9.
David Guerrero Nov 22, 2012
I think it's $5999. Left out a 9
David Parenti Nov 22, 2012
Yeah, it's got to be 5000+
Luis Daniel Angilello Nov 22, 2012
The kit is 599$.... The installation 5000$ I'm assuming... LOL! I really don't know, I'm just talking shit....
Thomas William Tuer-sipos Nov 22, 2012
Yeah that just doesn't seem right...
John M Weishahn Nov 22, 2012
I think they left a zero off that price.
Matt Sutton Nov 22, 2012
For some reason i dont think thats right...
Chris Benson Nov 22, 2012
599$ shut. up.
Zach Range Nov 29, 2012
That grill is awesome and going from already awesome and adding ROUSH to it....got my vote every time
Stephen Ishard Nov 23, 2012
Gorgeous grill
Sam Oglesby Nov 22, 2012
Why didn't they chance that hideous grill it looks like the plastic tray you get in a box of chocolate
Dillon Magee Nov 22, 2012
I like it. Looks pretty cool
Andrew Spad Nov 22, 2012
