Automakers have been chasing after the
BMW 3 Series for years and so far have failed to build a better all-handling sports sedan.
Mercedes-Benz and
Audi have both tried but haven't been able to outgun BMW's bread and butter model.
Cadillac, meanwhile, has been trying ever so hard to become relevant again. The current CTS is proof of its valiant efforts, but up until now, Cadillac still didn't have a 3 Series fighter. (Don't even think of mentioning the embarrassment that was the old Catera.)
