Evo's COTY Challenges Get on Track
Evo magazine's top ten cars of the year are paired up and taken to the track.
With the festive season on the horizon, it's time for Evo magazine to select its Car of the Year. And for 2012, the British publication has set up track battles between its top ten contenders. Tiff Needell and Dickie Meaden were picked out of the hat to undertake the track tests of the hottest cars of 2012, and while the supposed aim was to discover the cars' track times, in reality it was just another excuse to spend time with a cross-section of some of the most formidable cars on the planet.
The one-on-one face-offs started with the Porsche Boxster S and Lotus Exige S, followed by the Morgan Three-wheeler against the Toyota GT86. The BMW M135i then battles the Porsche 911 Carrera, and the Mercedes C63 Black fights the Alpina B3 GT3 before the main event takes place between the Pagani Huayra and McLaren 12C.
