Honda Reveals Brio Amaze Sedan

Honda makes a small budget sedan for developing markets like Thailand and India.
Different markets demand different cars to meet different expectations. So while a company like Honda may be preparing to roll out its new Acura RLX luxury sedan at the LA Auto Show this week, on the other side of the world it has introduced another kind of sedan altogether. Called the Brio Amaze (or just Amaze, depending on the country), the new Honda sedan is based on the Brio hatchback and is designed for emerging markets where budgets are more constrained.
The relatively dynamic-looking small car is powered by a 1.2-liter i-VTEC four-cylinder engine, driving just 90 hp through a 5-speed manual or continuously-variable transmission. Economical diesels will also be offered in select markets, like India and Thailand, where it will sell in the $15-17,000 range.
