I doubt it will look anything like the old one, because Buick is all about the curves. Which is fine, the regal is a great looking car. As far as the power plant, I kind of hope they don't put a Gen V in it. Kills the whole Grand National persona.

I don't like this the design language is starting to get very outdated in my mind. Too many angles.
Really wondering what engine option there gonna throw at the V model, a turbo 4 can get some good power and that's a little less weight but don't make a lot of sense, twin turbo v6 word be good but I think an LS would be the better option, be a smaller more nimble cts-v

I'm all for V8s, but the whole awesome part of the GNX was the fact that it was a turbo V6. Why not keep it that way?

Ehhh I doubt the ATS-V with have the LT1 in it. I'm betting a TT V6. I wouldn't mind a tuned 5.3L that's in the Z71s though. Make it about 450hp and I'll poop my pants
I think the GNX will definitely be placed above the ATS-V. The ATS-V will probably have the new LT1 in the C7 where the GNX will probably have an LSA? Just my guessing.
I don't get it. They have the 3.6 V6 to compete with the non M straight-6 3 series, and if your going to put a small block in the ATS then whats the point of Grand National unless they put it below the ATS-V in a market place that doesn't exist?

I love this car. I remember when my dad had one when I was like 6. Idk... I kinda don't think they should remake it though. It's too much of a classic. But that's just IMO..

Buick used the Grand National and T Type in the mid 90's on their four door FWD Regals. Even if GM brings back the name(s) I'm not sure if they can carry the essence of what the GNX was and not a direct competitor for let's say an Infinity coupe.
I do, they hardly fit in the Recaros of the Boss.
The early 80s mitsu Challenger didn't really sully it's good name. Neither did the Mustang II. But, if they bring back the GN are they bringing back the racing series it's named after since its like bringing back an IROC and not using it for the IROC

If you want a RWD impala SS and they make one you have to put your money where your mouth is and go buy one or they will stop making them. The automotive world is a business and nothing will get made unless the company can make a profit from it.

Nope. The ATS is a rear wheel drive platform. I'm not sure if it's available in all wheel drive though. And looking at these arguments from a third person point of view is always fun.

Brandon, I know what he said. I was talking about the RWD impala and he brought up the FWD. maybe he didn't know there was a few impalas prior to the last Gen. I was saying I don't want to see another boring FWD impala. I want to see a RWD SS V8.

@stephen. Maybe you forgot a time where the impala was a RWD V8 car. 94-96 SS model was and is still a sought after car. The mercury marauder was a 302 hp Cobra motor 4 door family car that would do a 14 sec 1/4 mile.

Saw the new concept Chevrolet Impala the other day in person. Unimpressed. They don't have any plans of an SS yet... And it looked like a big boring sedan.
