It's a little small for a fully grown man like myself but, Danm a few years back I would have loved to have a fun little car like this.

@Brady, Surely your joking... Most rally cars don't have much more than 200hp and that's fun as heck to watch.
RS stands for rally sport, not super sport. So how can they compare a GT spec to an RS spec, the Sonic obviously isn't made for power. Racing 175hp cars is like watching senior olympics....

This thing is going to be slow as balls. A civic si will be the only thing raceing it on the street.....make something over 300hp and then well talk. (Sti)
This should be a good bit cheaper then the focus. I would have a hard time choosing between them.
@jb, look up the curb weight of each vehicle. Ford says the Fiesta weighs around 2600 lbs, and the Focus weighing in at around 2800+
How do you guys know the focus only weighs 100-200 pounds more? The regular fiesta is a total featherweight.
I used Carsoup and found 3 for $26.000, one for $27.000 and one for $28.000. 0ne said you had to sign up for the price but they said it was under $26.000
Pretty solid numbers. Would rather have a GTI or WRX hatch or even a Mazda 3.
@james MFG suggested retail price. By the time it hits the dealer the price has gone up, way up
I'm happy with what I drive now. I was just comparing price. Besides I'd rather buy a new car than a used one for the same price. Unless it had ridiculous low miles which a 20 grand Mercedes doesn't have.
Fiesta ST is predicted to be a bit over $23.000 when it comes out matching prices of the Focus ST already out.
But better in every aspect, also and you could get a decent used mercedes for 20 grand instead of the newest car available on the market, if you wanted some more comfortably
@ Erich. The Focus ST I was looking at Saturday was 29,000 before dealer markup.
Because I had a rental fiesta for a week and someone my height can't get comfortable in that car. I've driven a focus too and they are definitely more comfortable to me.
It only weighs about 100-200 lbs less than the Focus ST, and has about 70 less HP, same with torque. The only way is buy the Fiesta ST over the Focus ST is if it costs significantly less.

If Aston Martin made a 5 door hatch, it would look something like this. And that's a good thing.
I've had my GTI out on plenty of track days and embarrassed much more expensive and exotic cars. It's all about your skill level. If your car is not performing at an exciting level, improve your driving.

I agree they are more economical and better for everyday use. But if you are looking for something fun and excting, hatchbacks are not for you. The only hatchback I like is the m135i because it is RWD
The point is to be more economical then having a v12 that gets 10 mpg and takes up all the space... A four banger with four doors and 350 hp sounds all right to me... Now does this car have that? No
Just buy a focus st if u want a hot hatch or a golf gti. In my opinion hatchbacks like rs3 m135i and A-class 45 amg haven't got any point. If you want power buy a coupe not a hatchback

Now the interior if that kip rio is actually quite good. It looks more European styled then anything. This fiesta looks like an older focus quality. It does look cheap.
Kia has really upped thier game. Don't be stuck in old times. Put it this way, the rio is the closest comparison. Of course there isn't a top trim like this special fiesta but the kip rio's top trim is 18k. So we are already 10k under this fiesta
Lol. Some said Kia makes better interiors I guess verses to ford. That is a lie. Not even a opinion. Ford interiors are way better than Kia.
Looks pretty tiny. Get rid of the back row and put sone leg room in there.
This isn't all about interior quality though, this is a hot hatch... No duh an optima will have a nicer interior, any mid-sized sedan does... If they didn't , that would b a problem lol

@Brian. It is an economy car. It is a cheap family car that happens to be faster than most of its competition. Quit bitching because it is probably nicer than your car.
They'll probably use the the 2.0 block but I'm guessing it'll end up between 2.2-2.5, with more boost
They'll probably go with the 2.0 ecoboost with one or two turbos for the stang.
I think the seats are awesome. But I think that, as a 28 year old man, I'd look less foolish in a Mini S. PS. I hope this isn't the ecoboost they put in the 2014 Mustang. 197hp is impressive for a Fiesta, but not for the Stang.
