Renault Reveals Revised Fluence in Turkey

Facelifted version of Fluence sedan gets a design closer to the new Clio and a slew of other changes ahead of its reveal in Istanbul.
The Fluence might not be the most exciting vehicle that Renault offers, but it is an important one for its global growth. And with the Istanbul Motor Show about to open its doors in Turkey, the French automaker has released an updated version of the economical sedan. A facelift on the existing model, the new Fluence benefits from a design more in line with Renault's newest models with a reshaped grille with prominent diamond emblem, new headlights and LED daytime running lights.

Inside there's a new digital instrument cluster, improved upholstery and a slew of optional electronics, including R-Link infotainment system and Bluetooth and USB connectivity. Buyers in Turkey or the 55 other markets where the Fluence is sold will be able to opt for a new 1.6-liter sixteen-valve four with 115 horsepower mated to a continuously-variable transmission or efficient and clean diesels with 110 or 130 horsepower and a dual-clutch gearbox. No word yet on whether the Fluence ZE electric car that forms the backbone of the Better Place project will be updated as well.
