Already have a new Aston Martin Vanquish in your driveway? This is the watch you'll want on your wrist.

An exotic automaker wouldn't be an exotic automaker if it couldn't offer its customers a writstwatch to go with their supercar. Don't argue, that's just the way it goes. Ferrari's latest is Hublot, Bentley partners with Breitling, Bugatti with Parmigiani Fleurier... the list goes on, and includes Aston Martin and its designated watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre. The two have been in business together for eight years now, and have just released their latest collaboration: the AMVOX7 Chronograph.

Designed to complement the new Aston Martin Vanquish, the AMVOX7 is the first of its kind. It employs a chronograph movement actuated by pressing on the crystal face instead of on side-mounted push-buttons. Release the lever to unlock the glass, and press at 12 o'clock to start or stop the timing function. Press at 6 o'clock and it resets the timer. Another party piece on the AMVOX7 is the innovative 65-hour power-reserve display that displays how much charge is left in the springs through receding red strips at the top of the face, a nifty little trick that replaces the power-reserve meter on some mechanical watches to make room for the chronograph display.

All that complication is powered by JLC's caliber 765 movement housed inside a 44mm titanium case with a dial motif taken from the grille on the new Vanquish that lets you see the intricate 39-jewel mechanism underneath.
