Description: An all-new Mustang is set to debut in 2015, but for those who've been itching to own the current-gen track-happy Mustang Boss 302, you'd better rush to your local Ford dealership. Like right...Add Comments17
Ben MossingNov 09, 2012 I can only imagine how collectable these will be, give it 40-50 years and I can see it in the $60,000-$90,000 like the old bosses now, of corse in that time original bosses would be itching on $250,000 (guessing of corse)
Shelby CassandraNov 08, 2012 Alright! My 12 will be collectible eventually then. I'd still like a classic one though. Actually a Boss 429 would be nicer.
Roman PodrezovNov 08, 2012 And a couple full of clothes in the trunk. So the car was pretty full. But come next summer, if there is a road trip to take, I have a cruiser to take me there and and participate in any local car shows I see on the side of the road. :) great car!
Roman PodrezovNov 08, 2012 City driving is around 14. Long trip, like the one I took, 21 MPGs. Once it's in 6th gear, going around 80, it's pretty good on gas. This includes my wife and my sister in-law on the back seat. ;)
Jon AshleyNov 08, 2012 same story here. My dad has a 2012 GLI and doesn't "USE" it ever. If I was lucky enough to own something like a 2013 Boss or even an FR-S, I would drive the crap out of it everyday.
David ParentiNov 08, 2012 What kind of MPG did you get? I've always kind of wondered.
Roman PodrezovNov 08, 2012 David, I was not referring to your post about your dad having one. I did not even read that far down, I just wanted to state my opinion. I get a lot of surprised looks when I tell people I drive this car. I even took the car on a 900 mile road trip, and I was surprised how comfortable it was!
David ParentiNov 08, 2012 To each their own. If I had a bad ass car I'd drive it everyday. But the Boss is my dads, not mine. My DD is a sleeper and I drive the crap out of it.
Roman PodrezovNov 08, 2012 If you buy one, do yourself a favor and actually drive one. I bought a 2012 GT500 and drove the leaving crap out of it and enjoyed every single moment of it. Now it is winter parked, or until the next 50ish or 60ish day, and I miss it. Can't wait till spring ;) Cars are made for enjoyment and crazy depreciation, not to be stored and than sold for profit!
Morgan MarcellaNov 08, 2012 They might come back in the future. I will not not forget the Boss.
Taylor GarryNov 08, 2012 I agree this is a good thing. Now they will be really sought after
David ParentiNov 08, 2012 I don't know. Hopefully like you said. Ford tried IRS in the SN-95 cobra and it was a failure. Not a complete failure but nonetheless, it added too much weight to the rear and had problems overheating.
Justin RouthNov 08, 2012 Very true but its such a good car i wish they would keep it. Hopefully the new irs is good enough to make up for it
David ParentiNov 08, 2012 @patrick I agree! My dad owns one. Bought it new in 2011. Now it has maybe like 4000 miles on it (over estimating) he's driven it probably 6 times since he go it. You guys had to see this coming. Ford couldn't continue the Boss with the new Gen Stang
Patrick SchalkNov 08, 2012 I think this is a good thing. Makes them more collectible.
Chris ChavezFeb 12, 2013 Why would they stop making such a great car.
Daniel Alexander SoutarNov 23, 2012 You're all idiots. The Mustang costs less, yes, but that's because the BMW has an interior that wasn't built by toddlers.
The M3 is faster in the corners (EVO>MT) and more fun.
It doesn't chew fuel and it's everyday useable, unlike the Mustang...
Miguel JimenezNov 15, 2012 @Devin Canadian, Mexican, Salvadorean, Colombian, Brazilian etc are a considered American by the way. Just like Italian, French, British, etc are all considered European.
Devin BabynNov 10, 2012 I'm Canadian Redge but nice try
Redge DiakitéNov 10, 2012 From other countries all around the world keep your American performance cars and we'll keep our Europeans ;)
Redge DiakitéNov 10, 2012 LOL you tought it was finished Devin Yes for THE boss they for THE first Time of history discovered THE 32valves and that's Why it CAN get 30mpg and what I'm a fanboy of BMW so what? ;) Like I said it's your opinion keep being like all americans seen
Chris GainesNov 10, 2012 I'm American, and its has no effect on my choice of an m3 over the boss. IMO, it's too over the top and prolly not as refined (from reviews I've seen) compared to the m3. i think the m3 is a lot sleeker too, especially the e46 coupe
Justin RouthNov 09, 2012 Haha why do you think he stopped replying after more people jumped in on my side? He knew he was being a fanboy
David ParentiNov 09, 2012 Amen! The mustang may have a solid rear axle, but it still beats the M3. The boss with its suspension package out-handles the Camaro and challenger! I think even a stock mustang out handles them. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
Devin BabynNov 09, 2012 Surprised no one corrected his dumb ass but the 5.0 is a 32 valve, gets over 30mpg (if you're behaved) and redlines at 7500 in the BOSS. It does have the good'ol solid rear axel though, which may be shit but it's faster then an M3 ;) Go home fan boy
Justin RouthNov 09, 2012 I absolutely love the atom! One hell of a grown mans go kart
Mario CallirgosNov 09, 2012 Ya man for the price of the GTS you could get a ACR. The brits are pretty awesome too. caterham, Ariel, and radical are all M3 money and crazy fast!
Justin RouthNov 09, 2012 Yeah they do im a big BMW fan i just wish they could make a more track oriented version that doesnt carry the price of a gts or csl.. Thats why i usually pick american first
Mario CallirgosNov 09, 2012 Ya man it's actually so cool I forget that BMW actually had a part in it! BMW are not the most exciting car co ever but they do have some real talent.
Justin RouthNov 09, 2012 Haha i know what n/a means but i actually didnt know that the F1 was the fastest n/a car. Pretty cool!
Mario CallirgosNov 09, 2012 Oh NA means naturally aspirated. No turbos or superchargers
Mario CallirgosNov 09, 2012 Mclaren F1 was clocked at 241 and had a BMW V12 commissioned by Gorden Murray.
Justin RouthNov 09, 2012 @Mario which car is the fastest n/a? And is it stock
Mario CallirgosNov 09, 2012 Both companies are awesome BMW still powers the fastest NA car in the world. And both ford and chevy motors power the two fastest cars to 200 period!! I would prefer the M3 as an all rounder but for sheer speed and excitement you can't beat ford
David ParentiNov 09, 2012 I love to see the underdog overcome. Hey it costs way less AND it's faster. Anybody's idiotic logic would choose to go faster for cheaper. 9 out of 10 people want to go fast and don't have a lot of money to spend. 1 out of 10 are rich and stupid.
Justin RouthNov 09, 2012 And as shelby said its called the "m3 killer" for a reason ;) dont get too butt hurt like everyone else when they get beat by american
Justin RouthNov 09, 2012 Ok you've named a few companies, but like david said most mustang owners have atleast some mods most m3's dont. Plus do you see any of those companies pulling 1000+whp cars like hennessey and shelby? Didnt think so. Give it up redge you lost this one
Redge DiakitéNov 09, 2012 Americans like to go fast? Hahaha that's Why there's Unlimited autobahns in THE states ;)
Redge DiakitéNov 09, 2012 Wiesmann makes slow cars?!! DAMN you're dumber than Sarah Palin man and for THE modded M3 there's Vf engineering Vorsteiner Hamann Ac schnitzer G-power and a lot of firms ;)
Shelby CassandraNov 09, 2012 Boss will rip an M3 on the track any day of the week. Period.
Justin RouthNov 09, 2012 This and the ZL1 are faster than the M3. The CTS-V will always kill the M5. Bmw is luxury, americans like to go fast
David ParentiNov 09, 2012 Besides, the Boss was built to beat the M3. That was their benchmark an the surpassed it. It's known as The M3 Killer.
David ParentiNov 09, 2012 The motor in the Stang has potential for 850+ hp. I don't see too many modded M3's. most people who buy M3's don't tune them. Meanwhile there aren't too many mustang owners who have never seen the engine bay of their car.
Justin RouthNov 09, 2012 All those companies actually make pretty damn slow cars. Dont get me wrong bmw is one of my favorite luxury brands, but thats what it is luxury. They wont beat americans at their own game ;)
Justin RouthNov 09, 2012 Youre obviously dumb if you dont realize how much 2 seconds is especially on a track like laguna seca. And ALL those companies that you mentioned... They dont make performance cars. None of those are pushing 7 or 800 hp
Redge DiakitéNov 09, 2012 And they need 30hp and 85pound feet of torque to go faster just for 2secs??!!! WOOOOW!!! Amazing
Redge DiakitéNov 09, 2012 Oh yeah say this to Wiesmann Rolls Royce Peugeot Citroën ;)
Justin RouthNov 09, 2012 Oh and the stang has more potential. You dont see companies using BMW engines for high hp builds they use ford and LS engines ;)
Justin RouthNov 09, 2012 Motor trend has the boss about 2 sec faster around laguna seca. Realistically? That wouldnt be noticible to a driver like you or i. But that extra 85lb/ft and the sound of the 5.0 will be my choice every time
Redge DiakitéNov 09, 2012 Sale fils de putain de bolos ;)
Redge DiakitéNov 09, 2012 Oh you're so funny fella if you like you're shitty Mustang it's you're opinion ;)
Redge DiakitéNov 09, 2012 And for THE price you know that THE stang is build a lot more than THE M3
Redge DiakitéNov 09, 2012 Car, a V8 that has 16 valves drinks 30l for 100km it's like a Viper SRT 10( who's a great car) against a Lamborghini Gallardo THE Gallardo wins THE end
Justin RouthNov 09, 2012 Awwww get mad all you want because the "cheap" american car whoops your precious M3
Justin RouthNov 09, 2012 Get out of here man. Come back when the M3 can come close the stang for the same price
Devin BabynNov 09, 2012 Considering Ford developed the BOSS at Laguna Seca and was bench marking against the M3 but beat it bad enough they needed to find a new benchmark (2.46 seconds faster) I'd say the BOSS is much better
Kyle RawnNov 09, 2012 Sorry to keep commenting, but I like to actually support my arguments. Go to Willow Springs lap times, and the M3 beats out the GT, albeit not by much (fastest laps.com)
Redge DiakitéNov 09, 2012 Kyle That's what I'm talking about THE M3 is Still better
Redge DiakitéNov 09, 2012 Yes I know it's a lot but it's an M3 it's always gonna be THE best :D
Patrick SchalkNov 09, 2012 Redge are you talking about the GTS that costs 150k plus?
Kyle RawnNov 09, 2012 Yea but we aren't talking about the Boss vs. M3. We are talking about
the GT vs. M3.
Redge DiakitéNov 09, 2012 And THE Boss didn't loose weight with THE back seats off and is heavier anyway THE M3 everytime a magazine(EVO,Sport auto...) putted the M3 on a balance it was 1654kg and the Stang is 1700kg at least ;) so the M3 kicks the Stang's a** :D
Redge DiakitéNov 09, 2012 @Justin oh you really think THE boss is faster than a M3? No man because if you really want to compare I CAN show you THE Boss is a M3 GTS and THE GTS Will rip it's a** THE Mustang GT is against THE normal M3 and gets it's a** rip so THE M3 is better
Patrick SchalkNov 08, 2012 Not really. Consumer Reports is the worst. Car and Driver is meh but I like R&T.
Titus BrutusNov 08, 2012 Justin... Motor trend is the worst quality car magazine out there. Their articles are awful..
Justin RouthNov 08, 2012 Very true. There is a pretty big power and price difference though.
Patrick SchalkNov 08, 2012 I have also seen that the BOSS 302 is faster than the M3. MotorTrend also said the 1LE was faster than the BOSS
Justin RouthNov 08, 2012 Oh and the M3 is 15k more. Haha i could do this all day
Justin RouthNov 08, 2012 Oh and not to mention the boss has 30hp and 85lb/ft on the m3. I'd guess its lighter too
Justin RouthNov 08, 2012 Pretty sure it was motor trend. And even if they were lying it had to be pretty close to lie, so still the track ready boss would dust the M3 any day
Kyle RawnNov 08, 2012 @Justin, what are your sources? Because the six different websites I was on put the M3 as faster. Hmmm. So either you're lying or Car and Driver is lying...
Dylan MossNov 08, 2012 My neighbor has the Laguna Sega edition like this and he literally wipes it with a diaper every day.
Patrick SchalkNov 08, 2012 I think there's guy around me that has one exactly like this but it's been to Hennessey. It's ridiculously badass.
Michael DavidsonNov 08, 2012 Saw one exactly like this one the other day, it looked and sounded amazing.
Justin RouthNov 08, 2012 @Redge the GT is quicker around a track than a M3 lol the Boss would put it to shame
Dillon MageeNov 08, 2012 I saw one yesterday, in this color combo. It sounded great
Description: Still, our track enthusiast hearts are a little broken today, but the news isn't all that dire. The leaked documents do confirm that the 650-horsepower Shelby GT500 will return next year, along w...Add Comments0
Shelby CassandraNov 08, 2012 @Stephen. I chose white but the rest of the colors aren't THAT bad.
Stephen Tyler LearnNov 08, 2012 @david the motortrend review had the 1le outperforming the boss in most tests but they liked the feel of the boss more
Stephen Tyler LearnNov 08, 2012 I prefer my cars to have dark colors(unless it's white or silver) with a high quality clear coat that makes the lights bounce off the car.
Stephen Tyler LearnNov 08, 2012 @andrew my niece. @david I have plenty of respect for the vehicles themselves including this one as for what colors I like I fail to see how that means I don't respect them. I don't like pastel colors I also don't like matte paint
Zachary MaurerNov 08, 2012 I really wished they made the Laguna seca with the gotta have it green
David ParentiNov 08, 2012 I thought those ponies were pink? Not competition orange, grabber blue, gotta have it green, race red....
Btw if you hate grabber blue... You have no appreciation for the muscle car era when the color came out. It looked damn good back then.
Andrew SpadNov 08, 2012 @ Stephen Tyler how do u know what colors are my little ponies lol
Stephen Tyler LearnNov 08, 2012 I actually don't like any of fords new paint colors like grabber blue or the pale green and orange. I can't stand them they look like my little ponies
David ParentiNov 08, 2012 I beg to differ. Reviews that's I've read put the Boss on top all around compared to the 1LE.
Zeus MochaNov 08, 2012 Love this color but would have to go with grabber blue all day
Zeus MochaNov 08, 2012 Yea but then the bumblebees sister, the 1LE, shows 302 who's the real boss XP
David ParentiNov 08, 2012 Ford calls it "School Bus Yellow"....
Stephen Tyler LearnNov 08, 2012 I hate this color so much it looks like a school bus
David ParentiNov 08, 2012 Bumblebees older brother that could always beat up on him and show him who's boss...
Morgan MarcellaNov 08, 2012 My favorite muscle car of all time. Awesome!!
I can only imagine how collectable these will be, give it 40-50 years and I can see it in the $60,000-$90,000 like the old bosses now, of corse in that time original bosses would be itching on $250,000 (guessing of corse)

To each their own. If I had a bad ass car I'd drive it everyday. But the Boss is my dads, not mine. My DD is a sleeper and I drive the crap out of it.
If you buy one, do yourself a favor and actually drive one.
Would love to own one.
They might come back in the future. I will not not forget the Boss.
I agree this is a good thing. Now they will be really sought after
I don't know. Hopefully like you said. Ford tried IRS in the SN-95 cobra and it was a failure. Not a complete failure but nonetheless, it added too much weight to the rear and had problems overheating.
Very true but its such a good car i wish they would keep it. Hopefully the new irs is good enough to make up for it

Nooooooooooo !!
