Description: This may not be the most exciting new vehicle scheduled to debut at the upcoming 2013 Detroit Auto Show next month, but given the sheer volume of pickups sold every year in the United States alone, it...Add Comments0
Stephen IshardDec 14, 2012 Terrible lights besides that it looks great
Tim PreisingerDec 14, 2012 Eh.. It's ok. Not terrible but could be better
David JusticeDec 13, 2012 Chrome braces. I'm liking the Sierra front much more.
Miguel JimenezDec 13, 2012 @Cody this isn't a rendering.
Cody GillardDec 13, 2012 I am not very happy with it but I know that this is just a rendering so I know it probably will look a lot better
Jack HowardDec 13, 2012 I was really excited to see what they had in store but hell no, this is ugly. It is obvious that Ford has it going on right now, with Ram closely behind. The 5.3 had better be on par with at least the 5.0 in the Ford.
Cory AllenDec 13, 2012 Yeah, that's pretty ugly. The wheel arches and the front are bad.
Sivert GrandeDec 13, 2012 Why do everybody hate the chrome? Take the chrome of and it'll look even uglier.
Shane CarrollDec 13, 2012 Those square wheel arches never look right to me, not even with big tires. They make the wheels look small. It was due for an update for sure, but c'mon chevy, you can do better than this.
Colby ChurchDec 13, 2012 Could it be better, of course. But this isn't too bad. But I do agree that they didn't change enough, besides the front, the rest looks very identical. I guess I'll just have to wait to see one in person before I judge.
Alex ArvanitisDec 13, 2012 Dual stacked halogens in rectangles looks off in a headlight. The chrome is eh, the squat shoulders are ok but they let off into a narrow looking frame, looks like 20" biceps on a dude with small shoulders/pecs/lats
John Vallejo GarzaDec 13, 2012 i think the truck looks like it had a refresh not redesign. Ford and Dodge have created a higher standard of interiors and technology these past years. just have to wait til i see it in person
Zachary MaurerDec 13, 2012 It looks like Gm made their truck ready for the hood... I'm glad they redesigned it but the lights man...
Lou GuerreroDec 13, 2012 I like the chrome. I'm partial to Ram sports myself but these are good trucks.
Clay WilliamsDec 13, 2012 I now trucks aren't really about looks but this is very ugly. I'd much rather have a RAM.
Jeremiah GoinsDec 13, 2012 I just look at this and wonder, is this the very best that they could do? If you have a legacy name famous among pick up trucks and you were charged with designing its newest incarnation, would you be proud to present this? It seems mediocre at best
Dylan BruderDec 13, 2012 I'll have to see one to judge
Matt PiccoloDec 13, 2012 That's terrible IMO! Not feeling it at all... I used to like these a lot too! (For a truck)
Patrick SchalkDec 13, 2012 I agree. I think Ram is the new standard for pickups. The new ones are amazing.
Boyd BoudreauxDec 13, 2012 Makes me love the Ram even more. I like all the big 3 trucks just not feeling this. Chevy should have dropped that square wheel arch
William DownsDec 13, 2012 Not so sure about the new front, I kinda like it.. maybe a black truck without the chrome
Jerrod SwensonDec 13, 2012 Looks like Pecola grew up to design for GM
Jack HowardDec 13, 2012 They combined last gen with the 90s gen
Sam McCrackenDec 13, 2012 Needs Bigger wheels & tires.
Alex ArvanitisDec 13, 2012 Even the cab is decent, it'd be a great cab if there was a little more metal east of the door jamb
Alex ArvanitisDec 13, 2012 The bed is Grrr, as are the tail lights at this angle, the front just needs to get with the design language of the rear
Cho DanDec 13, 2012 Hey GM, with modern cad/cam technology we aren't limited to right angles. Free-form geometry could go a long way to making your wheel openings more attractive.
Justin RouthDec 13, 2012 Chevy really messed up with this one...
Greg KenerlyDec 13, 2012 It's funny how the big 3 went away from the box trucks from the 90s and now Ford and Chevy are making them boxier than ever. Love the F150...hate this.
Matt SuttonDec 13, 2012 This doesnt look right at all. Huge square wheel arch and tiny little tires. Maybe the wheel arch makes the wheels look tiny. Idk.

Caner OzdemirDec 14, 2012 Always loved the Silverado, improved MPGs would make it better! :D
Daniel ZizkaMay 17, 2013 I love ALL Gmc grilles since I was a little kid. I love the red on the letters, which are big as hell ! Please continue gm
Michael BeachDec 14, 2012 Being a ford guy, I like this. The stupid LEDs need to go though
Amir RoyDec 14, 2012 It's odd...it kinda looks like an early 2000s late 90s ford super duty in the front. I might be the only one seeing this, but because of that I think it looks a lot better than the dreadful silverado.
Shane CarrollDec 13, 2012 @Alex agreed 100%. In an Audi or BMW, or even a 300 yeah I like em. But I don't get why EVERY car has to have em. I saw a Kia with a set yesterday, not needed.
Colby ChurchDec 13, 2012 They don't look cheap, just excessive. I agree it could be better, but this still isn't that bad.
Shelby CassandraDec 13, 2012 This is better I guess. Still not good.
Jon AshleyDec 13, 2012 cho, they really dont look that similar to the 370's rims
Nicolas Blake MullenDec 13, 2012 @matt I totally agree! Everybody is trying to add strips now but are failing miserably.
Alex ArvanitisDec 13, 2012 If gm is looking for a headlight designer, I'll take the job I guess, these designs are just off. Something simple with one led strip and a decent halogen is all that's needed.
Description: The powertrain options include a 4.6-liter V6, a 5.3-liter V8 and a 6.2-liter V8, all new and mated to a six-speed automatic that replaces the old four-speed slushbox. GM hasn't released output a...Add Comments6
Shane CarrollDec 13, 2012 I'm not impressed with these new 6 speeds. They don't downshift until you get on the gas, so when you're slowing down for a red light and it changes, you have to wait for it to drop down and find a gear. Feels like it's slipping
Chris TrotterDec 13, 2012 That's a massive V6, probably just a type-o
William DownsDec 13, 2012 Like the GMC a lot more, that front grill makes the truck look like a much bigger truck, very mean looking imo
Alex ArvanitisDec 13, 2012 A great truck in need of traditional halogens with a simple look, these are so busy that the eye never stops looking at their peculiarity.
Tom WilsonDec 13, 2012 The gmc looks better then the chevy
Joshua Grant RobinsonDec 18, 2012 Much better than the last! It just looks more grown up and less like it was designed in the transformers theme! Sharp!
Zaire WilkinsDec 13, 2012 the tailights dont need to be overhaul but they could look 15% better
Jamie McphersonApr 08, 2013 That gauge cluster does look exactly like fords, I like how they kept the shifter on the column though, leaves so much space between the seats!
Rob BenJan 03, 2013 I think the interior looks great
Michael BeachDec 14, 2012 They copy and pasted Ford's instrument cluster
Caner OzdemirDec 14, 2012 If the gray was replaced with imitation wood it would be A LOT better!
William DownsDec 14, 2012 Get ride of all the gray accents, they look to fake and are taking away from the interiors good looks, I like the entire layout except those Greg pieces
Alex ArvanitisDec 14, 2012 very reasonable*
Why beat up an excellent interior? I like that they offer many different trim packages.
I have a customer that takes his $75,000 king ranch hunting and gets it detailed monthly, most of the scratches don't even buff out. Bad idea
Alex ArvanitisDec 14, 2012 Haha Miguel, I'm the bigger ford fan on this site but I've been laying out the complements on this interior. They did good here and I agree 100% about the interior, they have utility versions of these trucks that have plastic floors, very easonable
Miguel JimenezDec 13, 2012 *people's @Kyle a dark beige would actually look nice.
Tyler ChessDec 13, 2012 To me black interiors always look cheap. Rather see beige or that saddle color.
Miguel JimenezDec 13, 2012 @Zaire Am I not aloud to give opinions about other people opinions?
Zaire WilkinsDec 13, 2012 miguel going bizerk over ppls opinions again
Miguel JimenezDec 13, 2012 *you're most likely *why would
Miguel JimenezDec 13, 2012 things, and this vehicle is meant to get beat up and then just replace part for cheap.
Miguel JimenezDec 13, 2012 Squeaky? I doubt this squeaks. What I mean is when you come back from construction or camping I'm most likely going to be dirty now why I want to get my fancy material dirty? That's like taking doc Martins hiking. Certain vehicles are made certain
Matt PiccoloDec 13, 2012 @ Miguel, bec it's made for rugged terrain it can't have nice, soft-touch materials? Instead of hard, squeaky plastic? Not really following ur logic here? Lol
Miguel JimenezDec 13, 2012 I'm sure if the had a ford emblem you guys would be drooling all over it. Stop bitching already.
Miguel JimenezDec 13, 2012 @Ethan it's a damn truck! Why the hell would you want soft touch crap? if you're looking for soft, cushiony shit go buy a Denali. Some people forget that these truck are made for hard towing and rugged terrains.
Tyler TarboxDec 13, 2012 This interior certainly isn't helping the bad rep GM gets for its interiors. The current Denali has a great interior though.
Ethan AmoDec 13, 2012 The interior build quality is currently absolutely awful on these trucks...If they could at least add some soft-touch surfaces, that would make a giant difference
Jimmy HodgsonDec 13, 2012 It's not a Denali it said on this website that they are not going to put pictures of the Denali till later on
Shane CarrollDec 13, 2012 One thing I do like about GM interiors, on the 3/4 and 1 tons they put a trans temp gauge in the instrument panel. I don't get why everyone doesn't do that
Colby ChurchDec 13, 2012 Inside looks nice, and btw, my dad has a $50,000 Ram Powerwagon and the interior isn't this nice. It looks pretty much the same as the Charger's. It's still nice, just not very nice.
Timothy HookerDec 13, 2012 I like it. I could def feel good in this...until I got out and turned around to see the outside...eesh
Alex ArvanitisDec 13, 2012 It might be the Denali, it says gmc on the wheel, if this is just the trimmed up gm, then the Denali will be very slick
John Vallejo GarzaDec 13, 2012 definitely an upgrade but it still looks plasticky
Shaniqua LatishaDec 13, 2012 The interiors are progressing for gm
Zaire WilkinsDec 13, 2012 GM needs to work on all their interiors
Tyler TarboxDec 13, 2012 Stephen, this isn't the Denali
Patrick SchalkDec 13, 2012 1985 called, they want their joke back
Troy HeffnerDec 13, 2012 Playschool called, they want their knobs back
Alex ArvanitisDec 14, 2012 No, it's probably a faux dark oak. Looks that way anyways
Alex ArvanitisDec 14, 2012 It's tanagolia from the nether swamps of gulback off the eastern coast of mars northern banks. It grows in short, spacious patches. Very rare
Jeremiah GoinsDec 13, 2012 What the hell kind of wood is that?! I mean in sure it's not real wood but it looks like the back of an insect.
Alex ArvanitisDec 13, 2012 Trucks have come sooooo far in 20 years. A 1993 suburban or gm truck was a Neanderthal compared to this. I'm not bashing those trucks but daym, this is classy
