BMW Brings M Performance Parts to America

Haven't got the cash for a full-on M car, or even an M Performance model? At least you can get the parts to look the part.

Head over the Europe and you'll likely see a lot of Audis with S-line packages, Mercedes with AMG Sport kits and BMWs with M parts. But don't be fooled: these aren't full sport models, simply standard models equipped with the visual components to make them look fast. As far as BMWs go, American customers have been largely left out of this customization trend, but BMW USA is now bringing a selection of M Performance Parts to American for the first time.

The components will be made available initially just for the 3 Series and 5 Series sedans. For the smaller of the two, BMW is offering a front splitter, rear diffuser and spoiler and side sill extensions, as well as carbon and Alcantara trim for the interior and a competition-style flat-bottom steering wheel. There's also a suspension upgrade available, along with Brembo brakes and 20-inch wheels. Owners of the larger 5 Series can get a carbon fiber front splitter and rear diffuser, custom exhaust and carbon trim for the interior, among other add-ons.
