Infiniti id the best luxury brand IMO..there not copying anyone cause in 1989, their flagship sedan was the Q. Do the main point is, Infiniti uses their own style, which is very good
Zaire Wilkins Dec 20, 2012
well the M37 is selling well so infiniti is bringing back their LS,S-class,A8,equus fighter
Victor Pitts Dec 19, 2012
And the Q in Infiniti was there most expensive class of luxury in the 90's. G would've been cool, but who cares.
Victor Pitts Dec 19, 2012
@ David, this is why you opted for BMW... You don't understand the simplicity. Such as Audi's 'A'... What makes that a power letter?? Not much, but they just do it and no one gets confused.
Zaire Wilkins Dec 19, 2012
they arent copying audi Wtf the Q goes back to the 1990's (facts)
Tyler Ray DeFord Dec 19, 2012
So they went from copying merc to copying Audi. Nice.
Zaire Wilkins Dec 18, 2012
@david that makes no sense
Tim Wateva Dec 18, 2012
Utterly meaningless and pointless just a waste of time and money
David Maio Williams Dec 18, 2012
This is sooooooooooooooooooo dumb. Glad I just opted for a BMW
Dylan Gregori Page Dec 18, 2012
So now it's a Q37s instead of G37s
Jimmy Case Dec 18, 2012
I've never liked Euro and Infiniti naming(Mercedes, Infiniti, Audi, BMW etc.)
Mark Fei Ling Dec 18, 2012
And companies do change name sometime for better sales or good luck. But why G? It's already a success brand.
Mark Fei Ling Dec 18, 2012
Stupid idea. G is powerful letter than Q
Matt Piccolo Dec 18, 2012
I agree. All automakers are doin that these days
Connor Garrett Koerbitz Dec 18, 2012
Exactly. So dumb
Kim Sitler Dec 18, 2012
You want to be different, how about using some creativity by giving the cars actual names. You spend millions of dollars designing a vehicle and call it Q50.
Will Ridgway Dec 20, 2012
@Drew Believe it or not, the design of this car was inspired by undersea creatures hahaha.
King Rich Dec 20, 2012
@Zaire, not only Lexus but BMW, Audi, and Mercedes
Rockesh Boulder Dec 18, 2012
Sorry, I meant the G, not the M
Rockesh Boulder Dec 18, 2012
Call it the Skyline, and Infiniti will have the right to print money.
Zaire Wilkins Dec 18, 2012
i love this car but i cant wait till they bring back the Q45 which will be the Q80 that will give lexus something to worry about
Chris Gaines Dec 18, 2012
yea it sounds dumb. if people aren't already "familiar" with the names of the cars, they don't care enough to buy anyway. long live the G coupe!
David Freitas Dec 18, 2012
Abandoning the current naming sequence to a simplified one. That makes all models a Q? Dumb idea. Already hating this.
Drew Humphrey Dec 18, 2012
Look a fish
Description: The changes are as follows: as stated, the G sedan becomes the Q50 with the coupe and convertible renamed the Q60; the Infiniti M becomes the Q70. The EX crossover will be known as the QX50, JX become...

I didn't find it confusing, but I can understand the flow of their nomenclatures.
Zaire Wilkins Dec 19, 2012
i cant wait for the 550hp M30 (supercharged 3.0 V6) which will be called the Q70 IPL
Megan Moody Dec 19, 2012
I agree. Way too confusing.
Curtis Dougan Dec 18, 2012
I don't see why everyone is freaking out, it makes a lot of sense
Stanzel Washington Dec 18, 2012
This is going to confuse so many consumers.
Kyle McCullough Dec 18, 2012
Sounds a lot like what volvo does with S## and XC##
Dylan Bruder Dec 18, 2012
Ok it says why q on the next page
Dylan Bruder Dec 18, 2012
This is dumb and why q of all letters?
Adam Beiersdorfer Dec 18, 2012
I'm sure it will all make sense when they are all out... But from looking at the names they are to become... I feel like I just say down in a class taught in a different language... Not sure I agree with this move...
Description: Explaining the change, Infiniti President Johan de Nysschen said: "The need for a new identity and direction to promote consumer familiarity with our model range as we expand the portfolio became...

Lol I agree
Drake Nailon Dec 18, 2012
I have never had any issues with identifying or remembering the hierarchy of Infinity's vehicle lineup. This is stupid!
Curtis Dougan Dec 18, 2012
Convertible*
Curtis Dougan Dec 18, 2012
Great looking convertable, can't wait for the new Q60
Inem Umoren Dec 31, 2012
I am not excited about the new nomenclature. I thought the old one was just fine. This actually appears boring and uninspiring.
