Colby ChurchDec 19, 2012 Haha, just a bit of redundancy.
Jason BrownDec 20, 2012 In the K9 here. Full options will run you over 90k here. Not a very popular car here due to being a lesser of the two brands and being that expensive.
Jason BrownDec 20, 2012 Kia is still focusing on sporty sedans. The word premium doesn't always imply luxury. There is a difference between premium brand and luxury cars. The K9 is a test car to see which direction Kia should take in the next 5 years. There is a lot of tech
Jason BrownDec 20, 2012 Zaire. I think you need to read a little more carefully to the articles on the web. These are speculations and rumors which havent been confirmed. There is a reason why the quoris (domestic K9) is not offered yet outside of Korea.
William DownsDec 20, 2012 I know what Zaire is talking about.. u miss understood, KIA corrected the speculations witch is the post on Facebook I was talking about, all the publication worded there statement wrong, KIA is gonna remain the performance brand of the 2 company's but is going to be diving into the luxury division with the quoris, then a luxury trim on the optima and I believe the Sorento.. there still very much ...
Zaire WilkinsDec 20, 2012 one thing hyundai did do that was smart was not to include any badges that indicated its a hyundai
Zaire WilkinsDec 20, 2012 @jason kia seems to have change their mind and they will be making luxury cars google it up
Jacob BurfordDec 19, 2012 This is how I see it. If you just want the luxury part, then this meets your needs. If you want better looks and performance, you have to spend more!
Tyler TarboxDec 19, 2012 can get basically a mini-Maybach. Front and rear massaging seats, heated and ventilated seats, fridge in the back and rear reclining seats. Interior is nearly flawless. Really hope we get one
Tyler TarboxDec 19, 2012 Exceptional car. Most people think it looks like a Mercedes when they see it and the interior is even better. My family is considering buying one of these. In my opinion it's one of the best overall value car on the market today. For around $70K you
Josh X WilliamsDec 19, 2012 The design of this luxury sedan looks like a really cheesy knock-off of a Mercedes-Benz. Hyundai needs to add some unique design influence to this model.
Will WillDec 19, 2012 I really cant get why people are saying this looks nicer than a merc s- class, bmw 7- series , audi a8 or jag xj when i have long mistook this for some cheap hyundai sedan until i realised it was created to compete with those cars mentioned.
Jason BrownDec 19, 2012 Kia is not going to be the luxury division over Hyundai. Hyundai has many times thought about making a separate division for Equus and maybe Genesis. Kia will focus on the sporty sedan market for affordable alternatives
William DownsDec 19, 2012 Where did u hear this, KIA is supposed to employ more luxury in the optima and the Sorrento... but KIA has made it clear on multiple ocassions that's its primary goal is a performance brand, hence the reason for its ongoing racing program.. they made a post on there page a few weeks ago talking about there future in the auto industry
Zaire WilkinsDec 19, 2012 but the crazy part is kia is suppose to turn into lexus infiniti acura by 2016 they will be all about luxury so idk what hyundai is doing but i like this car the equus ultimate you get 2 ipads in rear
Sean T. BoudreauDec 19, 2012 Not a bad car at all, but it doesn't afford the same ownership experience as a Lexus, Audi, Mercedes, BMW, etc. Remember with luxury the car is only half of the story. The experience and service is the rest.
Colby ChurchDec 19, 2012 The interior is gorgeous, comfortable, and accommodating. The exterior isn't drop dead sexy, but doesn't look awful, it still has that expensive, luxurious look. Many people don't even know its a Hyundai when they see it. They are exceptional cars.
Colby ChurchDec 19, 2012 I agree with William. He's correct. Hyundai made really cheap cars to get into the auto game, now that they're here, they are starting to play ball with the big boys. The Equus is a really nice car, it just is. Nothing "old school Hyundai" about it.
William DownsDec 19, 2012 @Matt... just got done reading something on C&D and sorry to disappoint u but they already did a comparison between the LS460 and the equus and the Lexus lost
William DownsDec 19, 2012 And also learn to read, he didn't compare it to the Bentley he said it was compared to the bentley... people need to get over there brand snobbery, just like everyone thought a Cadillac would never out perform a bmw, worlds changing get with the times and stop being so hard headed
William DownsDec 19, 2012 @Jacob, or your smart and can get all that stuff they offer at a better price, only thing they have over the equus is there name
Jacob BurfordDec 19, 2012 @Zaire there is no way you can compare this to a Bentley Mulsanne! The only reasons you'd buy this car is you can't afford an s-class, a8, XJ, 7-series, or LS.
Zaire WilkinsDec 19, 2012 @matt since this car was compared to a bently mulsanne this has to be 3 notches better than the LS they both have the same bells and whistles the LS you have to opt for equus is stock
William DownsDec 19, 2012 And this is deffinatly up to the standerds of Lexus, just because u don't think so doesn't mean its not, people need to get past what used to be Hyundai, they are not the same company they were years ago, completely different game plan
William DownsDec 19, 2012 People act like Hyundai is the only car company that uses another companies idea... get the fuck over it, every manufacturer copys off of another at some point.. its part of the buisness
Megan MoodyDec 19, 2012 Still a Hyundai. People still compare it to whatever instead of the other way around. Styling is their problem. Too generic and too many stolen design cues. He went with this because its Korean. Not superior.
Jordan SmithDec 19, 2012 I agree with Matt. It's nice a defiantly a bargain, but there's a reason it cost so much less.
Matt PiccoloDec 19, 2012 @ Zaire, this is in no way an LS killer. It's not a bad car, but it's still not up to Lexus, merc, Audi etc. standards by any means
Zaire WilkinsDec 19, 2012 alot of ppl still judge a book buy its cover like this nice car but this is the LS killer
Dylan BruderDec 19, 2012 Unless theyve fixed their electrical issues I won't
Jake KnickmeyerDec 19, 2012 Hyundais are nice nowadays. True car guys are just gonna have to get over their bigotry and side with the quality cars
Janak SolankiDec 19, 2012 I don't care what you say, it's still a Hyundai to me. I'll take an old school S-class armored over this any day.
Jason BrownDec 19, 2012 60k is very cheap compared to the price here. The one moon and many wealthy people drive the 160k version, that's the non armored. Both Genesis and Equus use different badges here.
Will WillDec 19, 2012 Most probably not very good in cars so they will just mistake it for a cheap hyundai. But the eqqus still would not be my car of choice if i were him. I would rather go for the s- guard modified to vr7 protection.
Will WillDec 19, 2012 @ chris its not THAT high profile. At abt $60 000 its quite affordable. I'm sure a good number of americans own them, so he wont be that easy to spot if he drives unguarded (without motorcade). Besides people who are aiming to attack him are
Clay WilliamsDec 19, 2012 This is as bad as the Chinese copies.
Paul TrahanDec 19, 2012 I got to drive one and they are really nice. The only thing I didn't care for was the very numb steering. Other than that I have no problems with the car.
Ethan AmoDec 19, 2012 Looks really nice to me...has one nice interior too
William DownsDec 19, 2012 These things are crazy nice inside.. sat in one and instantly forgot it was a Hyundai.. almost like a completely different company builds the genesis sedan and the equus, the quality difference is amazing
Ian BargerDec 19, 2012 Its just a copy of an s-class
Chris GainesDec 19, 2012 I don't get it, why do they have this guy all protected and such, then put him in such a high profile car? I mean, that equus must be the only one in the city, really easy for crooks to spot haha xD
Matt PiccoloDec 19, 2012 I really don't care for these.
Description: In order to protect the head of the world body, the flagship Hyundai sedan (which was recently facelifted) has been beefed up by German armoring expert Stoof International, which reinforced the Equus ...Add Comments5
Drew HumphreyDec 19, 2012 They need to modify the performance.
Jason BrownDec 19, 2012 The CEO of Samsung 이건희 replaced his Maybach for this. That tells you something...
Johnny VuDec 19, 2012 That's a pretty average weight for a armoured vehicle of that armour rating level
Zaire WilkinsDec 19, 2012 so this heavier than any maybach and RR and bently
Chris GainesDec 19, 2012 it must feel like your driving a small truck
Jason BrownDec 20, 2012 Basic with almost no options are 80k without taxes and reg. fees and they go up to around 150-160k. Not including taxes.
Tyler TarboxDec 20, 2012 How much are the domestic models?
Jason BrownDec 19, 2012 The domestic models are nicer inside.
Tyler TarboxDec 19, 2012 This is how all of them are though. Just an amazing car. With Hyundai you pay $0 for the badge so all $70K is dedicated to luxury. And it's awesome
Jacob BurfordDec 19, 2012 Well it has to be for the UN Secretary General!
Haha, just a bit of redundancy.
Both car and leader both?
