Nissan Announces Tokyo Auto Salon Lineup

From concepts to race cars, Nissan is bringing an eclectic mix of motors to Japan’s largest tuning event of the year.
While the cars and concepts unveiled in Detroit will rightly hog most of the headlines in January, on the other side of the world the Tokyo Auto Salon, long seen as Asia's answer to SEMA, will be attracting tuning jobs and OEMs with automotive giants such as Nissan dominating proceedings. At one of the show's biggest stands, the Japanese carmaker will showcase an array of automobiles, with no less than ten Nissan vehicles, including several race cars, on display.

From the Note Rider city car through commercial vans to sports cars such as the GT-R and 370Z, the lineup will also include the iconic DeltaWing, which will make its Japanese debut at the event. Two Jukes will also share the stage, one by Nismo that's US-bound, and one that previews a selection of personalization options Nissan plans to roll out in certain other markets. Electric performance car fans will doubtless be keen on the Leaf Nismo Performance Package that features an aero kit designed to optimize front and rear lift balance for improved efficiency and stability.
Hot hatch enthusiasts will have to contend themselves with a customized hot hatch Nissan is dubbing the Note Personalization Concept. Nissan will also present its Motul Autech GT-R race car from Japan's Super GT series, a 2013 GT-R Nismo GT3 race car and a Fairlady Z 370Z Nismo racecar developed for the carmaker's new Z-Challenge Spec one-make series. Look out for live shots during the 2013 Tokyo Auto Salon, which kicks off on 11 January.
