Description: McLaren wowed the crowds in Paris this past September when it unveiled the new P1 there, and in the months since has been preparing it for production. We still don't know exactly when the P1 will...Add Comments4
William DownsDec 25, 2012 Not talking about just the pads, the rotors are pure carbon and are like ice untill, Can do the same thing the zr1 does, it has ducting from the engine bay to the breaks to keep them at temp
Aaron SparksDec 25, 2012 Watch the video: he says the brake PADS are not fully carbon because they require so much heat.
William DownsDec 25, 2012 U can get around the problem with ducting from the engine bayto keep to keep them at temp
Dennis ChoongDec 25, 2012 I thought carbon brakes need considerable heat before they bite, which makes them impractical for road use
Description: There'll also be a panoramic roof, which seems like an odd choice given the weight that would add to the car's highest point. Otherwise the finished product will be 97% identical to the conc...Add Comments21
Richard NicholsDec 27, 2012 EVO magazine featured the P1 a few months back when it was shown and spoke to Mr Ron Dennis, and it appears that what we saw at Paris is what we will see when it goes into production.
Darian VorlickDec 27, 2012 This car is quickly growing on me. At first I disliked it immensely but it soon turned to ambivalence. It's definitely moving to the 'liking it' end of the spectrum.
Jason TurnerDec 26, 2012 I'm surprised how good this looks for being designed by a wind tunnel. Can't wait to see this thing go around a track. The F70 / F150, whatever you want to call it, is going to have a big shoe to fill to compete with this awesome machine. Can't wait!
Nick SchneeDec 26, 2012 Def hope so, because the concept's taillights are easily the most awesome thing I've seen in a while.
Felix RhettDec 26, 2012 So are they going with the original tail light design?
Ben KnorrDec 26, 2012 that thing looks totally awesome, I think it's gonna be a world beater. Im amazed at how many factory 10sec cars there are nowadays, hopefully the trend continues and in 10yrs or so there will be a 9 sec car on the market. :0)
Miranda Nearlydriftingondreams PavelleDec 25, 2012 Enzo, 12C, F70, or P1... Enzo, 12C, F70 or P1... Why not all four? :) Though I'd trade in a Pagani Zonda for the Enzo and a Hennesy Venom GT for the 12C.
Serge PankratovDec 25, 2012 I agree with William v v v the P1 is the winner in my book all day long
William DownsDec 25, 2012 Also gotta remember unlike Ferrari McLaren doesn't have a group of cars they have to continually replace and refresh.. they have one model to be focused on, to build to perfection witch they have knocked out of the park 2 times so far... would get a 12c over anything Ferrari puts out
William DownsDec 25, 2012 Idk besides the F430 no Ferrari has ever caught my eye, and as it stands not a fan of there design language, and from what we have gotten a sneak peak of the back won't be doing it for me either, besides this is the company that brought us the F1
Luke PurdyDec 25, 2012 Don't say that so soon, who knows what the F70 will look/perform like
Nick SchneeDec 25, 2012 P1 over F70, every freakin day.
Thibault LeroyDec 25, 2012 I talked to the guy presenting the car at the Paris auto show about the aerodynamics of the car
Chris GainesDec 25, 2012 amazing looking car. can't wait for the reviews! and I'm digging the cantina music at the end lol
Brian JohnstonDec 25, 2012 2013 is going to be an awesome showdown of the supercars year.
Aaron SparksDec 25, 2012 Absolutely cannot wait for the showdown between this and the new Ferrari hypercar. Epic.
Mike PunoDec 25, 2012 Does it come with a Daytona Rolex?
Aston VanquishDec 25, 2012 I will take the enzo no doubt
Mike PerryJan 19, 2013 I can see the old F1 in its styling.
Adam ThomsonJan 05, 2013 But I like the old F1 more
Adam ThomsonDec 30, 2012 The front looks good to be a McLaren,
Jacob BurfordDec 26, 2012 Looks sweet, and McLaren knows how to make a car perform!
Ryan RainvilleDec 26, 2012 I'm really excited about this car
Zaire WilkinsDec 26, 2012 they basically looked at their own logo and made it into headlights i like it
António Villas-BoasDec 26, 2012 To be more efficient, supercars look more and more like racecars. I'm not sure I like that, makes them more aggressive but not so beautiful IMO
Dylan GomesDec 25, 2012 this car looks good but looks like an over-the-top MP4-12C
IMO
Megan MoodyDec 27, 2012 It's nice. Is it F1 nice or legendary? Not sure. Look wise it's not.
Zaire WilkinsDec 26, 2012 the wing could really be turned down though
Sergi Pérez FiguerasDec 25, 2012 Brennon what do you understand for McLaren P1 Almost Ready for Production??
Brennon AucoinDec 25, 2012 This article is lying, they aren't in production yet!!
omarSVDec 25, 2012 No I think he just meant it looks crap when the wing is lowered (like in the video thumbnail)
Sam OglesbyDec 25, 2012 I think you mean it looks stupid with that rear wing
William DownsDec 25, 2012 The rear wing is rite there starring u in the face...or were u not aware the spoiler was active and can raise and lower... can. Even be used as an air brake line the Bugatti can
Jason LevyDec 25, 2012 @Nawwafasjrndure thats why it has one on it.
