The car that got me interested in super cars. There've been better cars before and after but this one is spellbinding.
Greg Lewis Dec 27, 2012
That's a lotta junk in the trunk!
Robert Young Dec 26, 2012
Saw this in Vegas in a car museum down on the strip.
David Gray Dec 26, 2012
Just like Antonio says, the overhangs were for high speed stability. The engine was meant to be a big V12 to begin with, think the financial crisis in the 90s forced a re-think????
António Villas-Boas Dec 26, 2012
I think this could have been a great looking car but the overhang proportions are wrong. They didn't have the money to properly develop it and ended up with a bad engine, bad breaks and high speed problems, the reason for the overhang solution.
Serge Pankratov Dec 25, 2012
Sorry guys but i always thought this car looked like sh!t. The styling is just waay out of my liking range
Drew Humphrey Dec 25, 2012
Me too. Hard to hate on the '90s style when it's so different now
Stephen Ishard Dec 25, 2012
I would love to this refreshed in 2012 styling
Matt Piccolo Dec 25, 2012
Look great! But the wheels need to go
John M Weishahn Dec 25, 2012
One of the most gorgeous cars ever built. Ever.
Erich Kretz Dec 25, 2012
Too much overhang front AND rear, IMO. I prefer shorter in front, via BMW.
Wyatt Gordon Dec 25, 2012
Bit too much overhang on the rear for me
Taylor Addison Dec 25, 2012
This was my first model car ever. Love it.
Description: Its 542 horsepower was capable of propelling the svelte feline to a top speed of 217 mph, making it the fastest car on the road - until the McLaren came along a couple of years later, anyway. Ultimate...

Wonder how many are still alive?
Robert Young Dec 26, 2012
These twin turbos are detuned b/c they can't compete w/the flag ship cars of these car companies. ie, mustang corvette. Like the Ecoboost twin turbo is rated at 400. Can't tell me they can get another 100+. :-/
Serge Pankratov Dec 25, 2012
Well.. 300hp is over half but still
Serge Pankratov Dec 25, 2012
Agreed. I got a V6 and it makes just half of that lol
Tin Nguyen Dec 25, 2012
Over 500hp from 6 cylinders in 1990 and over 200mph is an accomplishment even in today standard. Love this car.
Description: It also has fewer than 2,000 miles on the odometer and underwent a comprehensive full service just a few years ago, making this particular example, in the near-new condition that it is, highly desirab...

200,000 for a that? That's got to be one of the best buys I've seen. That car will still out perform even some of the best cars of today.
Robert Young Dec 26, 2012
Wonder if they will take a check. Don't cash it till payday! I'm there?
Serge Pankratov Dec 25, 2012
Im thinkin it might go higher than those "experts" think. Ill b watchin this.
Tyler Tarbox Dec 25, 2012
Wow that's an insanely low price. I would have thought at least $500K
Thibault Leroy Dec 25, 2012
Yeah for such a rare performant and iconic car this is a great price!
Tin Nguyen Dec 25, 2012
What! Only $200k? I was expecting more like $2m.
Eric Abel Dec 25, 2012
With recent news of a Ferrari 250 GTO being auctioned for $41M and a Ferrari Enzo expected to go for $1M, this sounds like a bargain. I have loved this car from the minute I first saw it.
Blake Antil Dec 25, 2012
I've always really preferred these sleek almost flat body designs, like Lamborghinis.
William Downs Dec 25, 2012
Everything u just said is the exact reason chrome and solid rims should be banished from the face of the earth, unless its a classic or the chrome was factory leave it off, 99.99% of the time your just ruining the car
Drew Humphrey Dec 25, 2012
I put solid chrome rims on my chrome Lamborghini Aventador in Forza Horizon. Who ever said solid rims were dated?
Chris Gaines Dec 25, 2012
seriously.. never understood the appeal of solid wheels
Zack Hartman Dec 25, 2012
Ya all it needs is some nice wheels
Pablo Herasme Dec 25, 2012
A car with these lines in the early 90's sure was one hell of a looker when every other car looked like a box.
omarSV Dec 25, 2012
one of the most gorgeous supercars ever made!...and it still does 0-150mph in 17secs. wow
David Gray Dec 26, 2012
You can't have pop up headlights anymore cos of pedestrian safety
Chris Gaines Dec 25, 2012
I see the appeal, but they are inefficient and not aerodynamic
Colby Church Dec 25, 2012
Those are cool.
omarSV Dec 25, 2012
Bring back pop up/sliding headlights, so cool :)
Ethan Amo Dec 25, 2012
Jaguar really needs another supercar modern day
Robert Young Dec 26, 2012
Yes the exhaust does look small????
David Gray Dec 26, 2012
The exhaust is what it needs to be. It wouldn't have 550hp if the exhaust was inadequate
Serge Pankratov Dec 25, 2012
Surprisingly i have NEVER seen the rear of this car. Ever. And i like what i see here
Drew Humphrey Dec 25, 2012
The rear is the best.
Ron Vinson Dec 25, 2012
That is sweet.
omarSV Dec 25, 2012
Beast.
Ethan Amo Dec 25, 2012
Awesome car. Pure awesome
Darian Vorlick Dec 27, 2012
Wheels are a bit on the ugly side. Always been the weak link for me.
Robert Young Dec 26, 2012
Jay Leno will be there. Bet that.
Sam Hansen Dec 26, 2012
Put some tasteful HRE's on there
Drew Humphrey Dec 25, 2012
Someone could put nice alloy rims on this and substantially improve its looks.
Brian Johnston Dec 25, 2012
I wonder how much these brakes over heated
Jason Levy Dec 25, 2012
Ghetto fabulous right there
Zack Hartman Dec 25, 2012
Haha nice John but some appropriately sized wheels would bring it more into the present
John M Weishahn Dec 25, 2012
They suit the car and their time. God help this car if a rapper gets his hands on it.
Erich Kretz Dec 25, 2012
Yep, hideous. A bit similar to the older AMG wheels, but those actually look decent.
Max Jabaay Dec 25, 2012
I think I found where the last gen phantom got its stock rims from.
Sam Sexton Dec 25, 2012
worst wheels ever fitted to a supercar. they look like they came off of someone's grandmothers daewoo
Darian Vorlick Dec 27, 2012
That interior looks so cheap.
Franklin Lopez Dec 26, 2012
Oh how sad! This makes a Tata look like a Rolls
Thibault Leroy Dec 25, 2012
Wow its weird to think that this was the fastest car in the world at one point
Drew Humphrey Dec 25, 2012
Is that a custom stereo?
Brian Johnston Dec 25, 2012
Looks like it could be in a f150.
Zack Hartman Dec 25, 2012
So funny my parents mercury villager had this interior
Scott Westphall Dec 25, 2012
I agree with Carlton. The Ford dials and instruments are funny in a car of this nature.
Wyatt Gordon Dec 25, 2012
That almost looks black instead of grey
Pablo Herasme Dec 25, 2012
I love how casual it looks; no one will notice this does 200mph
Carlton Sofocusedon Green Dec 25, 2012
Hahaha but actually this is a Ford interior. You can tell by the dials.
omarSV Dec 25, 2012
lol this what the interior of a modern vette/viper looks like!
John M Weishahn Dec 25, 2012
Still Carlton, you've got to love that pre-airbag steering wheel.
Carlton Sofocusedon Green Dec 25, 2012
As beautiful as this car is in the outside , its that ugly on the inside.
Zack Hartman Dec 25, 2012
Really feelin those seats
Erich Kretz Dec 29, 2012
If you put our initials inline you get eeek, heh.
Erich Kretz Dec 26, 2012
Ahhaha, my point was well made.
Eric Dare Dec 25, 2012
Erick kretz@. It's the mp4-12c. To be pedantic
Joe Kanser Dec 25, 2012
No they came from the factory with AN fittings and braided lines. Research before making a silly comment
Oren Blumenstein Dec 25, 2012
it's been rebuild no car comes from factory with steel braided lines from that era
Erich Kretz Dec 25, 2012
Heat reflecting tape. It's just not the fancy gold stuff McLaren used on their F1 and MP412-C (is that a mouthful of gobbledy-gook or what!?)
Carlton Sofocusedon Green Dec 25, 2012
Is that tin foil?
