I don't know if I like this or not! I sort of like the modern off roader look, but it does look a little like a toy!
I LOVE LAND ROVER!!! But this is as remedial as it gets. I hate this design. It needs to be 100 percent more rugged.

Here is the difference: old defender could drive through a fire and be fine. THIS defender would melt. It's all plastic!
Don't get me wrong it looks great, but making this a crossover with 2 inches of clearance is a joke. Not the right vehicle to do this with, it's just blasphemy. Hooray soccer moms.

Well they did ruin the beetle and they did ruin the defender. I wouldn't be caught dead in a beetle or this.
It's basically the new beetle vs the old. Those of us who love the classic and feel the new one ruined everything that was great about the beetle will never get it. This is for that poser. They created a jeep wrangler.
Jason you need this app more than anyone. Educate yourself. Ryan if your referring to the engine in jeeps your right. They never should have left the straight 6. But everything else in them are amazing.

Last time I checked... Jeep is having some record sales... It only makes sense to have a brand be successful over a broad range, then super amazing in one, like how trail ready it is... From the solid sales foundations can we create awesome cars!

@Jason that pipe is known as a "snorkal" which is used to get air into the engine when you're going through deep water
It's a snorkel so when you drown the engine trying to cross some water you still get clean air to the engine
What is the plastic looking thing attached to the side leading up to the roof? Is it the exhaust pipe?
It better have a solid axle in the front and have a bullet proof engine it would be a shame to see it turned into a water downed piece of bs like the wrangler is now
Why don't they keep building one classic land rover - current defender, then build a wrangler like soft roader for the masses. No true LR fan wants this.
