Is it same powerful as old one Suspension & Body
Tyler Ray DeFord Dec 27, 2012
It looks like a MINI SUV. It needs to be manly!
Megan Moody Dec 27, 2012
Horrible!!! Land rover has the WORST designer EVER. Going to make the old one more desirable.
Darian Vorlick Dec 27, 2012
Looks like my Honda Element.
Arnold Jose II Dec 26, 2012
the front looks like a nissan extera....
Vibhu Shakelli Dec 26, 2012
I see more of an fJ cruiser
Matthew Horst Dec 26, 2012
I wouldn't be able to take anyone serious in this car
Brendan Crawford Dec 26, 2012
Nfndjffbsjfjdhjrfnfnbejfm! Sorry I just barfed:~(
Jacob Burford Dec 26, 2012
I don't know if I like this or not! I sort of like the modern off roader look, but it does look a little like a toy!
Jimmy Case Dec 26, 2012
Front looks really cheap and plasticky.
Rommel Powell Dec 26, 2012
I LOVE LAND ROVER!!! But this is as remedial as it gets. I hate this design. It needs to be 100 percent more rugged.
Adam Thomson Dec 26, 2012
Kia soul!!
Stephen Cobbs Dec 26, 2012
The older one looked way more badass. What is this?
Clinton Burger Dec 26, 2012
That's a cool looking Kia Soul right there
Brian Johnston Dec 26, 2012
Barf. This sould have little tikes or toys r us badged to it.
Guo-Sheng Huang Dec 26, 2012
Love it, just hope it cost as much as they said it would. The current one is way too expensive.
Description: As Land Rover design director Gerry McGovern stated to British publication Autocar, "The concept got the thumbs-up and 90 percent of the 250,000 people we spoke to loved it." McGovern added...

This looks way too much like one of those Nissan or Kia crossovers to me! 90% of who liked it?! 90% of people who work under the lead designer? Man this is such a let down. I had such high hopes for the new Defender :(
Megan Moody Dec 27, 2012
Here is the difference: old defender could drive through a fire and be fine. THIS defender would melt. It's all plastic!
Jimmy Williams Dec 27, 2012
Don't get me wrong it looks great, but making this a crossover with 2 inches of clearance is a joke. Not the right vehicle to do this with, it's just blasphemy. Hooray soccer moms.
Isaias Almanza Dec 26, 2012
Independent suspension? Are you kidding me? 90% of who exactly liked this? Soccer moms?
Luke Walch Dec 26, 2012
Is that the new FJ Cruiser?
Philipp Kentner Dec 26, 2012
Pretty awesome from this angle
Adam Beiersdorfer Dec 26, 2012
I don't think it looks bad at all... Not ready to drop off the keys to the Audi's... But I can see potential here...
Tyler Ray DeFord Dec 27, 2012
Well they did ruin the beetle and they did ruin the defender. I wouldn't be caught dead in a beetle or this.
William Downs Dec 27, 2012
Did u just call the wrangler a poser?
Megan Moody Dec 27, 2012
It's basically the new beetle vs the old. Those of us who love the classic and feel the new one ruined everything that was great about the beetle will never get it. This is for that poser. They created a jeep wrangler.
Sam McCracken Dec 27, 2012
does it come in black.
Brian Johnston Dec 26, 2012
Jason you need this app more than anyone. Educate yourself. Ryan if your referring to the engine in jeeps your right. They never should have left the straight 6. But everything else in them are amazing.
William Downs Dec 26, 2012
So according to Chris every jeep since 1987 have been getting worse... that retarded as hell... up there with some of the dumbest things people have said on here ... If anything modern jeeps are more rugged and capable today then they were before,.
Patrick Schalk Dec 26, 2012
Chris, how? Please explain.
Adam Beiersdorfer Dec 26, 2012
Last time I checked... Jeep is having some record sales... It only makes sense to have a brand be successful over a broad range, then super amazing in one, like how trail ready it is... From the solid sales foundations can we create awesome cars!
Christopher LikeaBoss Reber Dec 26, 2012
@shaniqua I totally agree with Ryan. Every since DaimlerChrysler purchased them, they've become less rugged
Shaniqua Latisha Dec 26, 2012
Ryan are you fucking retarded. The wrangler is one of the best off-roaders on the market
Patrick Schalk Dec 26, 2012
How is the Wrangler watered down? The Rubicon is amazing.
Dylan Gomes Dec 26, 2012
@Jason that pipe is known as a "snorkal" which is used to get air into the engine when you're going through deep water
Ryan Rainville Dec 26, 2012
It's a snorkel so when you drown the engine trying to cross some water you still get clean air to the engine
Jason Brown Dec 26, 2012
What is the plastic looking thing attached to the side leading up to the roof? Is it the exhaust pipe?
Ryan Rainville Dec 26, 2012
It better have a solid axle in the front and have a bullet proof engine it would be a shame to see it turned into a water downed piece of bs like the wrangler is now
Megan Moody Dec 27, 2012
Why don't they keep building one classic land rover - current defender, then build a wrangler like soft roader for the masses. No true LR fan wants this.
Kyle McCullough Dec 26, 2012
This looks better than the first pic
