I agree. The V8 in the E63 (the 5.5 Twin-Turbo one) sounds mega, so this engine should be similarly awesome :D
If the 4 litre sounds just as mean, which I'm sure it will, everyone will still be happy. the fuel economy will just be a bonus.
With Mercedes technology I'm sure they'll find a way to make a great powerband with high power and minimum turbo lag.
i liked that 6.2 a lot for being NA it was truly powerful but turbocharching truly is the future
Actually i dont care about how big the engine is. As long as its turbo charged with lots of horsepower to give me pleasure of enjoying my ride then it sounds great to me.

Agreed with all comments. A 4.0L V8? C'mon. Makes me think the 5.4 L from the C55 and C63 with the 6.2 might be keepers.
From 6.3L to a 4.0L is a big drop. Why not make downsizing gradual like the E63 did and go to a 5.5 Biturbo. That engine has been around for some time now it's time to pass it down the chain!

Well, a least it will still have the same amount of cylinders.
It's really such a shame that all big engines are going and little aspirated engines are coming into play there will always be a little lag and u will never be able to replace the sound of a 6.2 V8 with some turbos
