Description: In America, if you want a big Toyota, you go for the Avalon. Want a more luxurious Toyota? That'd be a Lexus then. But in the automaker's home market, Toyota has topped the luxury market wit...Add Comments15
William DownsDec 27, 2012 Because engine can make the same figures and not be the same engine... doesn't happen often but it does
Megan MoodyDec 27, 2012 Ha! Crown royal. They would sell a ton of these here. Add some dubs, vinyl roof. Yeah playa!
Zaire WilkinsDec 27, 2012 @william so why does the supra has the exact same 3.0 320hp 315 torque idk
Jag LoveDec 26, 2012 Whereas the Cressida never did have a jz series engine, it wasn't just offered with the 7M-GE, however. Depending on the market & generation it was also fitted with the 5M-E, 5M-GE, 4-ME, 3T, 18R, etc... even a diesel, the L-series.
William DownsDec 26, 2012 No that's a Mitsubishi 3.0 V6 in them
Zaire WilkinsDec 26, 2012 ok question isnt the 2jz motor inside the mitsubishi 3000gt and dodge stealth from the 98 supra
William DownsDec 26, 2012 Chad the n/a version of the 2jz-GTE is a 2jz-ge... and the cressida never got a jz series engine, just the 7m-ge
Jesse WilliamsDec 26, 2012 Toyota used to make a car called a Corona. It's funny how they had cars that had the same name as alcohol brands.
Chad CollinsDec 26, 2012 The Cressida was a rwd and shared no similarities with the Avalon or the Camry. It had the optional 1JZGTE which was the non-turbo version of the 2JZGTE that came in the supra.
William DownsDec 26, 2012 The cressida was never a Camry, cressida was rwd and is the predessussor to the Avalon... camrys more Lucy form is the solara... aka the Camry coupe
Tin NguyenDec 26, 2012 Cressida was not a camry. Both existed at the same time.
Zaire WilkinsDec 26, 2012 @saad how are you telling me the cressida was never a camry it was always big which was killed and renamed as the avalon
Saad SyedDec 26, 2012 @zaire Avalon is a different car, it has nothing to do with a Cressida. I'd say Camry is more like the Cressida.
Zaire WilkinsDec 26, 2012 im glad toyota changed the name from cressida to avalon that was just to take away maxima coustomers
Lou GuerreroDec 26, 2012 For what they are, avalons are great cars. Big, super comfy cruisers. Perfect road trip car.

Kyle McCulloughDec 26, 2012 They can only get that much power from a V6? I know it's small for a six, but come on.

Dylan BruderDec 26, 2012 I'd call a car brand introduced to a market 7 years ago fairly recent
Darryle MoodyDec 26, 2012 Do your homework on Toyota. The introduction of "Lexus" is not recent. It was introduced to Japan in 2005. Toyota planned on selling 50,000 units a year, they struggle to move 19,000 a year. The Japanese prefer BMW and Mercedes-Benz.
Zaire WilkinsDec 26, 2012 @ david ok and it has to go
Jason BrownDec 26, 2012 They still make the older styles of these for luxury taxis in Japan. Taking a taxi, especially these can be very expensive. The driver presses a button to open/close the rear passenger doors. Pretty cool.
Lou GuerreroDec 26, 2012 My comment was meant for the 3/4 exterior shot to the left of this.
David MunasingheDec 26, 2012 @zaire. It a crown on the steering not a T and it is the traditional crown logo .
Zaire WilkinsDec 26, 2012 thT logo on the steering wheel has to go
