All-New Ford B-Max Revealed Ahead of Geneva

Ford has released the first production of the new B-MAX prior to its official unveiling in Geneva.
Ford has finally revealed the final production of its mini MPV with the official presentation to take place at the Geneva Motor Show in March. The ingenious design of the Fiesta-based model seems relatively unchanged from the concept study revealed at the Geneva Salon last year. The most notable visual changes to the compact city car being the loss of the chrome grille trim and the addition of visible door handles.

As per the study, the B-MAX has sliding rear doors with the center pillars integrated into the doors themselves providing wide-open access for drivers, passengers and luggage. CEO of Ford Europe Stephen Odell said: "The B-MAX combines an exciting, innovative design with features that only previously have been found in bigger cars. It's a brand new car that responds to the needs of an increasing number of customers who want much more from their small cars." The B-MAX will be one of the first Fords offered with the new 1.0-liter 3-cylinder EcoBoost turbocharged gasoline engine.
It will be avaialble in tunes of 99hp and 123hp, while a selection of Duratorq TDCi diesels are also being offered. The B-MAX is to go on sale in Europe later in the year.
