Spied: Kia Cee’d-Based ix30 MPV

Kia has begun testing of their Cee’d-based MPV.
At the 2008 Geneva Motor Show, Hyundai previewed an MPV/Crossover concept dubbed the HED-5 iMode Concept. The production-spec Hyundai has been rumored to carry the name ix30. Spotted for the first time in these photos is Kia's version of the Hyundai ix30. This new Kia Cee-apostrophe-d-based MPV/Crossover will replace the Carens/Rondo and will have a seemingly more conventional design language then the Hyundai ix30 will have.

Kia's version will offer two different seat configurations and will be offered with both 5 and 7 seats. Since it's based off the i30/ Cee'd platform, we can expect this MPV to share all of the engines and transmissions with them. When hitting the market in 2013, it will compete against the Volkswagen Touran, Ford C-Max and Mazda 5, amongst others.
