Nissan has just released a pair of videos showing their DeltaWing racer hitting the track for the first time.
Nissan has just given their brand-new super-efficient DeltaWing racer its debut on the Sebring circuit. Two videos were released, the first unfortunately without sound but shows the radical racer in action.
The Nissan DeltaWing will run in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, though it won't be a competitive model. Check out the cockpit cam below.
The incredible albeit funky race car could revolutionize the world of racing, as it weighs roughly half as much as normal competition cars now and has half the aerodynamic drag. That means higher efficiency and less power is required to maintain the same standard of performance. It runs on a 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with direct injection.
