Yes, it may look like a hunk of engine bits and 911 body panels, but what you're looking at is a prototype of the upcoming Porsche 918 Spyder. We just brought you plenty of details regarding its hybrid powertrain, performance, and its state-of-the-art carbon fiber and aluminum chassis, but now it's time to see it in action. Evo magazine Editorial Director and Founder Harry Metcalfe has been given a first-hand look at the prototype which he describes as a "geek's delight."

More importantly, this is will be the first of the next-generation of supercars. Metcalfe's walk around descriptions are quite thorough and it's interesting to see just what goes into the development phase for a car as complex as this. Then again, this is Porsche so we should expect nothing less.
