Gemballa Gets Baller Status at the Geneva Auto Show with MegaGallery

Gemballa has prepared several epic programs for the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.
Gemballa has been hard at work getting ready for this year's Geneva Motor Show. The Porsche tuning specialists have branched out of their comfort zone to work on a McLaren MP4-12C and then returned to their roots with a Porsche Cayenne, 911 and two new 'unique' vehicles, if you can call them that. The latter pair are the Cayenne-based Tornado and the Panamera-based Mistrale. The very... ahem... venty Gemballa Tornado features plenty of carbon fiber and a lightweight body kit.

The completely customized model was, in a former life, a Porsche Cayenne and now it boasts some serious power in the form of 721hp. Bigger brakes of the Brembo variety have been added to control the power that is the Tornado. The Gemballa Mistale, based on the Panamera, has been abused a bit by the tuners and features more carbon fiber than you could care for. A new (and comfortably-quilted) interior along with 22-inch wheels helps remedy its exterior nonsense, along with a serious 721hp like the Tornado above.
The Gemballa GT, based on the McLaren MP4-12C, is another example of a tuning company taking liberties with the supercar already designed and engineered for near perfection. The Gemballa GT features a body kit designed for greater aerodynamics and a very catchy blue exterior finish. As Andreas Schwarz, Gemballa chief, says of the unfinished British supercar "Our starting point is a aerodynamic styling kit and ultra-light forged alloy wheels, and we are developing an engine upgrade program as well." Oh and those wheels? 20-inches up front and 21-inches in the rear.

Getting back to the Porsches, Gemballa's take on the new 2012 Porsche 911 was quite simple and elegant. A set of straight-swap new front and rear bumpers along with side skirts were created almost like a "Mr. Potato Head" kit - if you don't like them, just switch them back or mix and match. The 3.4-liter engine in the 991-series 911 cranks out 340hp while the 3.8-liter engine is rated at 400hp. A bespoke (and quite frankly, over-the-top) Gemballa six-pipe exhaust system and a set of ultra-light 21-inch wheels complete the program.
Gemballa's final model at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show was an Aerokit for the 958 Cayenne. The kit features, predictably, an aerodynamic body kit including new carbon fiber front and rear spoilers and carbon side skirts.
