With collectors bidding wars on one another, the prices will continue to skyrocket and drive up the whole muscle car market...... That's why the American automakers went retro to capitalize on it.
Greg Lewis Apr 29, 2012
Had flavor, and it paved the way for one of the most iconic cars in American history, the 69 charger
Scotty Gee Apr 28, 2012
Sweet, I've always loved these things.
Brendon Davis Apr 28, 2012
God do I miss this car; my Dad had one and I drove it when I was 14 (1991). He kept it in incredible condition and he bought it when he was 17 (1973). It was the most endearing car to him; it's in his shed right now and he's not getting rid of it.
Description: This was also the same time in which the "personal luxury coupe" began to take shape, as automakers were interested in getting their customers to buy not just large sedans, but also large co...

Jared Palmer Apr 28, 2012
That's right Andrew, 67-70
Tim Preisinger Apr 28, 2012
Damn straight Chaz!
Andrew McNeal Apr 28, 2012
First gen Cougars were from 1967-70 I believe.
Jason W. Evers Apr 28, 2012
What year was that Cougar?
Chaz Gill Apr 28, 2012
When real cars were made.
Alex Stanzel Apr 28, 2012

David Pires-Ihsaan Apr 28, 2012

Patrick Schalk Apr 28, 2012
Love me some Charger. Not my favorite color but this looks awesome.
Clint Edwards Apr 28, 2012
Saw one of these at the last car show I went to, burgundy with an all white interior and they threw a 440 in it. Thing was awesome, sounded good too
Description: Launched in 1966, the Dodge Charger was a fastback coupe and featured a unique "electric shaver" grille. At first, power came from a variety of V8s only and it wasn't until 1968 was a s...

Or also neons that had 3 speed automatics up until ten years ago.
Aj TheDark Artist Apr 29, 2012
@Greg For your information a 3 speed was still relevant. Hell, 2 speeds were still being used in some cars. So get up off the Mopar camp.
Greg Lewis Apr 29, 2012
Three speed... Leave it to dodge to use dated trannies! (hint hint challenger 5 speeds)
John Serely Apr 28, 2012
Agreed, those were the days
Description: The Charger was redesigned in 1968 and it featured that era famous "coke bottle" styling. A line of V8s and a straight-six remained as engine options. This was also the Charger generation ma...

I love the looks of this Charger model except for the color.
Aj TheDark Artist Apr 29, 2012
I'm tryna buy one of these right now. All white, black interior, 440, and the guy only wants 7k!
Greg Lewis Apr 29, 2012
Old cars are dropping in price, they can't hold up anymore in power compared to new cars (only took till 2011 to do so) and no one can afford to fuel these tanks. Now is the time to buy one if you can manage.
Jared Palmer Apr 28, 2012
\/ looks like an old Vw
Abraham Mendoza Apr 28, 2012
I'd say its an old Ford Deluxe V8.
Deon Lingum Apr 28, 2012
Wat car is behind the CRV in the driveway??
Abraham Mendoza Apr 28, 2012
Interior layout on these were genius. I could sleep in one of these.
Rami Wilson Apr 28, 2012
Now, your speakin' my language!
Devin Babyn Apr 28, 2012
Don't like these at all. They made a great choice when they redesigned it. Those are bad ass
Lou Guerrero Apr 28, 2012
Even bigger in person.
Bryan Bohling Apr 28, 2012
It looks huge in this picture
Lee Gardner Apr 28, 2012
I like the 69s better
Dave Stewart Apr 28, 2012
Thank god they made the rear nicer still a beautiful Car
Tim Preisinger Apr 28, 2012
Not my favorite year charger, but still really cool
Lou Guerrero Apr 28, 2012
Wow, I saw a charger this exact color and year a few days ago at a shop. Only it had a 440 in it.
Craig Lafey Apr 28, 2012
Not a big Dodge guy but this is beautiful. And the current bid is only 12k? That's not bad
Description: Since 2005, the Charger has been sold as a large sedan, which to this day some enthusiasts haven't forgiven Dodge for turning their beloved coupe into a four-door. For those die-hard fans, we&apo...

The tail lights look like the challengers of new. Imagine how long it'd take to wax this monster!
Jared Palmer Apr 28, 2012
Saw a 70 charger at a car show last weekend, plum crazy w/ 6 cyl
Tim Preisinger Apr 28, 2012
Congrats Rami! Good luck with it and I hope you enjoy it! Nothing like driving these old cars
Abraham Mendoza Apr 28, 2012
This in silver would be great.
Rami Wilson Apr 28, 2012
I just put 10 g's down on a Panther Pink '70 Charger R/T today.
Lou Guerrero Apr 28, 2012
That glass is curved on the ends. Awesome little styling details. They don't build cars like this anymore.
Clint Edwards Apr 28, 2012
That rear is awesome
Greg Lewis Apr 29, 2012
I read the articles like the ones in playboy :p
Michael Ly Apr 28, 2012
They said the base ones with the 318's got 3 on the tree, this is a 383 which comes with a 4 speed, it says so in the article. Not trying to be mean, but summa y'all need to read the entire articles before saying stuff.........
Ben Arends Apr 28, 2012
I think the proper terms are "three on the tree" or "four on the floor" - :)
Sean Williams Apr 28, 2012
I read it had a 4 speed manual. Are we reading the same article??
Jesse Weis Apr 28, 2012
That doesnt look like the "three speed manual mounted on the steering column" that the articl mentions
Logan Delony Apr 28, 2012
Anyone else see an Audi interior here?
Tim Preisinger Apr 28, 2012
Those gauges are indeed awesome!
Patrick Schalk Apr 28, 2012
That interior is freakin amazing. I love those gauges.
Greg Lewis Apr 29, 2012
383 and room for a family of 6 under the hood! Classic
Scotty Gee Apr 28, 2012
Wow, yeah, super clean under the hood too. Man, that $12,000+ bid is looking like a steal for this baby.
Paul Lissona Apr 28, 2012
Yah that's a major stupid thing about under new cars hoods.
Michael Gallagher Apr 28, 2012
You and me both Vince. Can't work on the cars made nowadays days like you could back then
Vince DeMasi Apr 28, 2012
I wish engine bays still had that much space!
Tim Preisinger Apr 28, 2012
Pretty clean. Looks like it was well taken care of. Someone is going to get a good deal on this car
Aj TheDark Artist Apr 29, 2012
Yeah just grind that out and put a fresh coat of paint on and it's cherry.
Greg Lewis Apr 29, 2012
That's surface, bet you'll find more in the trunk of a first run charger new gen
Scotty Gee Apr 28, 2012
That's hardly any rust at all. That would be easily fixable.
Tim Preisinger Apr 28, 2012
That really isn't bad at all. My Nova has more rust in the trunk then that and even mine isn't all that terrible
Mikey Jimenez Apr 28, 2012
This is actually pretty clean for a 66.
Andrew McNeal Apr 28, 2012
This trunk rust is the only thing that would bother me about this car.
